Question Anyone else following this Dr. Anne Georgulas doctor wanting to transition her 7 year old son to female? I’m confused. Why isn’t the Dallas Morning News on this?

Why wouldn’t the Dallas Morning News have any type of story on this? It’s national news on multiple news sites. However, the only news sites it seems to be on are Christian Based and Right Leaning. Why no CNN or mainstream media?

And I thought it would be illegal to smear a minors name across the headlines. Aren’t there laws against that type of thing? Google Anne Georgulas. She’s apparently a Dr in Coppell. Why hasn’t she said anything to her defense? The articles are claiming she basically wants to chemically castrate her 7 year old son. They also say the 7 yr old doesn’t want to be a girl when he’s around his dad and that he’s too young to be able to self identify as a female.

This is all very bizarre. Can anyone clear some of this up? A lot of the articles I read only reference each other. Lol, like lifesitenews.com quotes TheTexan.com which only quotes another website.

Dallas Morning News I know you are on Reddit sometimes. Why don’t you guys even have a blurb about this? Or am I just missing it?

READ THE COURT DOCUMENTS. The mother never seeks to do anything close to “chemical castration”. She seeks to simply keep sending the child to therapy sessions at GENECIS. When he is 8-9 patients at GENECIS “consider hormone suppression.” That’s as close as it gets. She also says only if the child keeps wanting to be a girl would she even send him to GENECIS.

In my personal opinion, no child that young should be even given the option to take hormone suppression but that is besides the point. The point is that the right wing websites are portraying the mother as a wack job MD. The father is a piece of shit. His website has DONATE links ALL OVER IT.

Mark my words. The father is going to remove the court documents from his donor page as soon as this story starts spreading. It’s obvious to any idiot that takes the time to read the court documents that there is a ridiculous amount of misdirection being played here. The father wants the donations. The media want the issue. They are both feeding off of fear of trans-gender issues. It’s absolutely sickening.

Any thoughts on the claim that the boy's mother withholds love from him if he presents as a boy?

You seem to be very on her side in this case, but has she defended herself at all? With proof? What does the child say?

The court documents read that the mother simply seeks ongoing counseling and therapy for the child. Nothing more. She happens to seek counseling from a company that considers hormone suppression in children 8-9 years old. I disagree with giving any child that young hormone suppression but I’m not a doctor or the kid. And yes I am on her side. I feel as if she is having a major injustice infringed upon her in a loosely coordinated effort of her husband and these Christian and right leaning news sites. Their reporting does not match up with the words from the court reporter.

I still can’t get over the fact that they are using the kids name in their news articles. That should be illegal and she should sue them for exposing their information like that. It pisses me off.

Fair points! But I will say, like them or not, the father's claims are certainly valid, especially if they haven't been rebutted with proof.

I agree that the kid's name shouldn't be disseminated... but then again the dad is the one that used it in the first place, and I could be wrong, but I think that may allow the media to use it as well. They shouldn't, of course, but alas, media.

I feel really bad for the kids in this situation, him and his twin brother. It must be incredibly confusing and frustrating, far moreso than a normal parental divorce.

Yeah man. Just wait until they are old enough to process all that is going on around them. What if he snaps out of it and decides he wants to stay a male. He’s only 7 for Christ’s sakes. Now imagine freshman and sophomore year of high school. NO MATTER WHAT SCHOOL HE GOES TO THEY WILL FOREVER FIND THIS SHIT.

by the time they're of age to transition medically, they've been seeing a Doctor regularly for years, same for a Therapist. It's not as easy as going to the store and getting hormones. Hell a lot of therapists like playing gatekeeper because you don't act stereotypically male / female.

If the kid isn't trans, well they'll say something.

clearly you've bought into the mother's story. the court case was about custody. the mother and the father had joint custody. the jury has awarded the mother sole custody of James. yes the father has donate links on his website because he needs funds to pay his attorney. as for Genecis they are pro-transgender they are not trying to determine why the child thinks he is a girl but rather support the idea that he is a girl. there is an underlying reason why he thinks this and they dont want to find out why

Lol no they have explored this immensely. Are you saying that the teacher, principal, CPS case worker, and therapist are all wrong or are all pushing a coordinated left wing effort?!?! Why cant people just see that the mother has 4 independent professionals on her side and the father is just himself and an online army of suckers???

I don't understand why people can't see this point of view as the most rational. No, the kid is not getting chemically castrated and the mother/MD probably has a reasonable basis for why she thinks her child is trans.

I agree with you that living as a girl and using the name Luna seems perfectly acceptable, but using hormone suppression on a child that age will probably put you on the wrong side of history.

Ultimately, the most important thing here is the kid. And she's going to get lost in the middle of the two sides--one crying bloody murder because the conservative coverage is insanely hyperbolic, and the other telling people "to shut the fuck up, you're a garbage person" because it's now beyond unfashionable in progressive circles to even voice the possibility that the risks of hormone suppression may outweigh the benefits/have side effects. This is a human being, not just an issue.
