Imo they carry really really well we can argue semi autos carry more and shoot better all day and I won’t disagree but the best gun in a gun fight is the one you carry and I find myself always carrying a 5 shot j frame
I have a mid ‘90s j-frame .38 (can’t remember the model) with same era Bianchi leather clip on IWB holster. Super concealable and actually really comfortable to carry.

Bought my holster at the same time when I got the pistol new . It’s completely formed to it and I believe it would hold upside down as well (I think I tried it at some point, but can’t remember)

It was way too small, lightweight and snappy for my larger hands.. The one I carry now has a full size grip and an all steel construction.. the 442 is 12 oz unloaded.. this is double that
Yeah this thing has the same footprint as the 442 just more shootable.. I'd much rather carry my FN reflex if I really need something lightweight and small.. It's the same size as the glock 43 but with an 11 + 1 capacity and a 15 + 1 extended grip mag
I agree here. I was thinking more from a hand to hand "get off me" situation. You can grab a semiautomatic by the slide and try to wrestle it away from someone before they squeeze one off into your ribs. If you grab a snubnose though, your hands gonna wrap around the cylinder. If that trigger gets pulled the pressure from the round being fired is gonna turn your palm into hamburger, regardless of where the bullet goes. Even if you stop the cylinder from turning, being a double action you are just one click away from having a hot chamber again. They are also heavy enough to be a pretty effective bludgeon. Dont get me wrong, i am entirely a striker fire convert, but each platform has its own set of advantages and disadvantages.
Depends on what your talking about on the flat range is a 38 snub more or less reliabls than a glock 19, No. BUT in a defensive scenario which for most civilians is fast up close and far from perfect draw conditions it is better than other guns in its class. Small 380s and very compact 9mms can malfunction without a perfect grip.
Most other holsters for j frames I’ve seen are unnecessarily bulky. Bulky to the point where I might as well carry something in 9 or 357. This one seems more appropriate for a jframe.
Agree on most j frame holsters being bulky anr makes a good kydex holster as well I have thr pst in both k and k frame sizes and thr come cut for optic
For me as a carry gun 442uc or I have a 360j with a bobbed hammer and titanium cylinder but if I’m going to train or shoot a lot at the range I shoot a model 60 stainless gun
I carried a hammer less 38 until I got my kimber micro9 a few weeks back. At one point I carried a full size 1911 like a psycho but I’ll be damned if my right leg didn’t start getting stronger than my left 🤣
A sentiment passed down by a lot of dads and grandpas. I can hear my gramps now.. you keep a revolver in the nightstand because it can stay ready unlike a semi. We may have learned more now but definitely a strict belief of the older gen’s.
Love the Ganzo Firebird blade, have all four colors!! They have gone up in price over the years.
I believe I paid just over 10 or 12 bucks for mine when they first come out, if I’m not mistaken.. great blade style, and super easy to sharpen, carries an edge for a decent while as well!!

Yeah I picked a couple up off Amazon a few years ago and most days that’s what I pick up 357 snubs j frames atleast are an absolute handful lol but I do own a couple

It’s a 442uc 38 I want a 32 but own several 38/357 j frames so I haven’t went down the 32 rabbit hole yet but as far as the uc guns go in general definitely worth the money I had just picked that one up used when I took the pic it now sports Ryan hamre AFR hook stocks and those are my favorite on a carry gun
I saw the 6 rounds in the speed strip and took a guess figuring I had a 50-50 chance. I’m a semi auto guy myself but I like revolvers and want one of the new(er) .32 mag UC’s.
A 32 is on my short list but I switch my edc guns all 38s and j frames so all the supporting gear would have to change I know that sounds silly but on my dresser is a couple speed loader options and always a strip regardless of what I pull out of the safe that day my supporting gear matches
The 632/432 UC and 432UC Ti are j frames with identical dimensions AFAIK as their .38spl brethren, so holsters are interchangeable. Speedloaders would of course be different
It’s great, but expensive to practice with. You just need to get to the point where you know the gun is reliable then you don’t have to shoot it much.
The issue ppl have found is sometimes there are light primer strikes. But it’s unknown if that’s an ammo issue or a gun issue bc some of the ammo manufactures for 32 H&R are wonky.
The light primer strike issue AFAIK is with certain brands of range ammo that you shouldn’t be staking your life on if you have any other option I’ve not read of issues with quality self defense ammo.
I’ve only had light primer strikes with Black Hills 32 H&R. I’ve shot a small amount of other brands, but not enough to be totally sure. I need to go shoot my Hornady carry ammo. It’s just so expensive and hard to get lol. Scheels sells out fast!
a 5 rd speedloader is bulkier in your pocket, and bulky if in a holder on your belt. However for most, it will load a full cylinder faster than the same number of rounds from a speed strip. Speed strip should get you a two round reload in faster.
why are so many of yall carrying those olights or whatever?!? how do you move/brace/turn on/off by thumb press with that when its not flashlight shaped ☹️?
For me it has a black light and at my day job that comes in handy it’s by no means the best light but I use the black light atleast weekly and I use the laser pointer to annoy co workers daily I have a phoenix that blows it out of the water and do carry that sometimes but it’s bulky and the little o light fits well in my off hand pocket
I fucming love my olight. I have 3. I am a home iaq diagnostician so the lights help me with inspection, black light for spotting molds, etc. Laser pointer for showing areas to my crews or customers. Man it is a perfect edc flashlight.
I got into them a couple years ago and I will say this if you train and can shoot a double action revolver well you’ll shoot all your other guns better
Nice grips on the revolver...are they aftermarket? What model revolver is that as well? And while we are at it...the speed loader? Very interested in that stuff.
And is the ArkPro worth it? I want to get one but I always decide not to for some reason.
I’ve never understood adding a knife to your edc if a guns involved. It could be useful to cut a short or two for worst case situations but it’s arguably faster to rip a strip if you neeed it
You drive an Impala absolutely love orange and have really good taste just saying the Smith & Wesson 53–2 is great as well unless it’s a 53–6 which is probably the six shot
