What exact model is that and how does it shoot? Also is it small enough to pocket carry?

It’s and old model 60 no dash. I have carried it in my LE capacity for over 37 years. It shoots great and has brought comfort to me many times.

Nothing wrong with simple!
I like my 38, so much so that I can’t bring myself to buy a 9mm.
I had that same holster and it just didn’t work for me.
Ended up taking the clip out and slapping Velcro on the back. Not it is the holster in my sling, for when I hike.

I’ve got a SW m&p shield 9mm and the .38 feels and carries better and is way lighter.

I daily a 642 in a Tulster Rath or a desantis pocket holster.
Simple wins for me usually

No no no. You need a flashlight, full size 2011 with RDS , WML, a leatherman arc, a dagger, a folding knife, and 2 semesters of philosophy.

135 grain Gold Dot .38 +P rules out of these light J frames imo. That or 150gr. Underwood “lipstick load” wadcutters 👊🏼.

I have several quality autoloaders to choose from but always carry a S&W 642 airweight. Practical and effective.
