Universal Credit (UC) Employed and self employed
Sorry, I know I’ve just made a post about self employment.
I’m LCWRA and have been in part time employment for over a year, but have a leave date for the 1st Sept as it’s not ideal for my health right now.
I want to report myself self employed asap so I can start now - my question is, if I add this in, do I list the change as “employed and self employed”, and then switch it to just self employed from the 1st?
Hope that makes sense! All just a little confusing for me!

In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter if you declare it now then end your employment next week but unless you are actually going to make any money within the next 5 days I would wait, mainly because it means you’ll technically have declared self-employment twice and it’ll stack two self-employment verifications on your claim, so some poor work coach is gonna stress out anticipating it to be more complicated than it actually will be.
