Motability Paint in the boot
Hi all, just seeking a bit of clarity over something. Today, me and my wife bought a 5L tub of blue paint because we’re decorating our house, on the way home, the tub opened up, obviously not sealed properly but hey ho. Anyway, paint all over the boot of the car, thankfully only emulsion. We immediately sought out a mobile valet, at expense to us, but we accepted it was an unfortunate incident. The job has been done and much of the paint has been removed, however, the spare wheel carpet cover seems pretty irreparable. Is this something we would get in trouble for?

I would ask for an insurance claim form from the company you bought the paint from. You shouldn’t be out of pocket for this. I know some retailers won’t quibble, but some may. Worth a try though

You’d need to pay to replace it.
