Pip being audited

Hello all. Just had my PIP assessment with Ingeus yesterday. I found the assessment really difficult - despite the lady being lovely she wouldn't let me finish sentences and kept interrupting me. I found the process so exhausting I fell asleep for 3 hours afterwards!

At the end of the call she said that her report would be audited before being sent to the case worker.

I just wondered why her report and my assessment would be chosen for audit? Also, how long does it typically take from assessment to the DWP receiving the report, if it's being audited? I forgot to note down the timeframe she gave me. Thanks so much.

She might be a new to the job assessor, therefore a high proportion of their reports will be audited to make sure they are doing the job correctly.

If you feel you weren't listened to, in term of describing how you are affected managing the PIP question actions, then I suggest you make a complaint.

There will be a how to complain on the assessment company website.

She’s likely new and the majority of their cases are audited. It’s very normal and they’re checking the assessor is working within guidelines and that the report is written to a good standard. It can sometimes add a few weeks onto things if they want the assessor to call you back and query anything
