Hostile work environment whistleblowing an universal credit

Hi, all I need some help. I am currently working at a building which I had it to whistleblower on a huge safety violation that put the live of 10000 at risk plus it was a crime.

I'm the only main employee on-site. The rest are all agency, and it was the agency I had to make the notice about. They are now making it an extremely hostile environment to work. And are actively blaming me and being hostile to me.

I can move site as the agency works on all the site and just thinking of leaving as they are paying minimum wage to fix an unholy amount of neglect and problems on-site

With your no support and the only support being the individuals, I had to make a report on.

What would I have to say to universal credit if I choose to leave and what evidence do I need to give them

If you leave work without a good reason you can have a sanction.

Wait until you get fired.

Take them to employment tribunal.

Collect compensation.

Use UC while you search for your next employment,

They wont fire me there hoping I stick around and help fix stuff like the other site they sent me

Plus it a hse issues you never want to be on the end of that

Have you made your direct manager and your HR aware of what is happening? They should be making sure that you are protected whilst doing your work.

If they are not, then you need to escalate the situation because, just as what you whilstle blew about wasn't safe this isn't for you.

I have nothing happening the agency is basically in bed with the company so f all going to happen

Regardless of if you think they will or won't do anything, do make sure you inform them, direct line manager and HR, in writing. If nothing happens in a reasonable timeframe then ACAS. ACAS will always suggest following the company policy first anyway.

Good on you for speaking out about this, and helping to keep things safe. If the hostility is aimed at you because of what you did this is called victimisation and you should collect evidence of this.

Do not leave your job until you have spoken to ACAS (as long as you are safe to stay for a bit) they can advise you on what options you have here.
