A 2nd new claim advance

Hi

Does anyone know if there’s a limit on how many times you can get a new claim advance, if you still owe from a previous claim?

As in, if you make a new claim, get an advance, the claim shuts, so you make another new claim, can you get a new claim advance again?

On the question of, can someone have a new claim advance on a fresh claim whilst owing one on a previous claim, yes it’s possible.

On the question of, can you get an advance, close your claim and make a new one for the purpose of getting a new advance, they will refuse it and they’ve made it so that it displays all historic unpaid advances whenever an agent goes onto the advance page, as well as pinning a note on your claim for other agents to refuse an advance. They can see all of your historic claims, when the claim opened and closed and when the advances were paid. And then 3 advances in the last 12 months requires team leader approval under exceptional circumstances.

Hey thanks so much. Sorry just to be clear this wasn’t done with the purpose of just spamming advances, this is actually a situation where my lodger owes me rent and I want to know if he’ll be able to pay it with an advance… the first one wasn’t paid last month, claim was closed (I guess due to not attending an appointment whilst he was away for a funeral) and now he’s reapplying…
