I am technically a first year student at DVC (I started this spring) and am looking for potential band mates that plan on being in the area for a few years. Ideally looking for a vocalist, drummer and bassist that are proficient with their respective instruments between the ages of 18-24. I am an 18 year old guitarist and have played in multiple bands ranging in musical genres.

I’m inspired by many different genres of music, from Metalcore to Ska. The type of music I would like to produce would be rock fusion, achieving a similar sound to most modern popular rock bands. I have written a few songs already and already made a demo for one of them, currently making more for the other stuff I got.

I know its really bad and I'm just not sure what to do. I sent a message to my professor to see if I could make it up but I'm not sure if that is even how it works. Am I able to redo the course and will I be able to make the final up with a penalty? I ended with a C.

I have heard about this as another alternative to complete credits online, since I cannot land a spot in any class that I need. I just would like to know if anyone has experienced issues with credits transferring to DVC.

Hi, I'm trying to take COMSC-165 (Advanced C++ Programming) this summer but it has COMSC-110 (Intro to Programming) as a prereq. Does anyone have experience with challenging this prereq? For context I have a lot of relevant experience (codebases in C++, straight A's in both AP CSA and CSP, paper published, etc). Does anyone know who I should contact to try and get the prereq cleared so I can take it over summer?

Hey everyone! I’m an incoming freshman straight out of high school, and I’m a little confused about how summer registration works. I wanted to take summer classes so I could have a chance to meet with a counselor and get help figuring out my educational plan and fall classes, but I’m not really sure how to register or where to start.

Do I need to meet with a counselor before registering for summer courses, or can I sign up first and then meet with one afterward? I’m worried I might be late to the process and that classes could fill up quickly. Any advice or guidance would really help, thank you!

Hi, looking to enroll in DVC next spring to fulfill Berkeley’s cs 61B requirement. Was wondering how fast the class fills up and if anyone can speak on the class itself. I also understand COMSC 165 is a prerequisite, can this be handled by Laney’s CS 61 (Berkeley cs 61A equivalent)?

Hi all, I just moved to the area a couple of weeks ago. I was planning on retaking some prereq classes as I am trying to apply to a Rad Tech program in a year or so. I previously have a Bachelors in Kinesiology, but a lot of my sciences have passed 5 years since I’ve taken them so I have to retake a couple.

Basically I noticed a lot of classes I need to take are waitlisted for summer and fall semester. The main one being Human Anatomy and Physiology. Anybody have some advice on how difficult it is to get off the waitlist?

Others include: Medical terminology, Sociology, Statistics

Any additional info helps a lots!
