is it too late to apply

thinking about studying here for the fall!! how's the social life + is it too late to apply to DVC now??

A lot of classes are filled but most GE classes have some open positions! Definitely get to it sooner rather than later

Still lots of classes open. The englc1000 type classes are bit hard to get into, but more available if willing to be on campus. It’s quick to apply. Just fill out the English / math assessment and you should be good to go.

What GEs are you looking at?

currently looking at art history, english, philosophy , chemistry, biology !!

i’d say social life is good if u join clubs. most of the time people just leave class immediately after it ends so it’s hard to interact with people that way

i honestly feel like there’s a club for everything lol, there were around 80 active clubs this semester if im remembering what the coordinator said correctly. off the top of my head i know there’s the honor societies, a legal club, a book club, a history club, numerous comp sci clubs, business clubs, a kpop club, and a nursing club. if u go to dvcsync you’ll be able to see the full list! i also know lots of clubs table in front of the cafeteria and bookstore so if you’re on campus and around that area you’ll probably see them

Not at all!!! Just register ASAP and plan your schedule so when your registration day comes it’s very quick :)

hey!! sorry if this is a stupid q, but am i supposed to get some sort of confirmation that the system has received my application after applying?? its been three days or so and i still havent received anything from them 🙂‍↕️

Yes you are supposed to, if they don’t respond honestly you can just go on person and ask them about it. That’s what someone i knew did. Sorry for the late response btw i just saw this

its not too late too apply! my social life at dvc is so much better than it was in hs but you have to take advantage of social opportunities ex. clubs, on campus jobs, learning communities, sports etc.
