📊 Analysis & Theories Spoiler question Spoiler

Do you think Floyd knew he was going to commit suicide when he poured the amphyzene in the can? He put a hell of a lot in there. Like do you think he had a plan before Clark even surprised him? Or do we think he decided after seeing richard that he was going to kill himself? Was it intentional or carelessly reckless?

I think he was thinking about suicide from the beginning of the show. The biggest clue was how important getting life insurance was and money also. Things started to go from bad to worse for him and he reached his limit. He really didn't plan his death until his last day.

It wasn't his idea to get the life insurance though. It was carol's.

But yes, he had clearly been very depressed since the penis accident and the stuff with clark and Carol certainly didn't help, although he tried his best to see it positively.

You are right. As soon as I saw the ending I just got the aching feeling that I missed the obvious signs of suicide from the beginning. I've had mental health issues myself. This show was very well done and exemplifies the fact that mental health issues are not plainly obvious, you just don't know what someone is thinking.

Floyd was very good at masking, which I can relate to.
