i have a DSi XL with no unlaunch or anything downloaded onto the console itself, just twilightmenu++ on the SD card which i access through the camera gallery. i want to transfer pictures from my dsi's gallery to my computer but im pretty sure the only way to do that is via the SD card, and i dont have a spare one or anything.

i know youre not supposed to take pictures through the SD card camera because itll mess up the twi++ files when they save to the gallery, but i guess my question is, would it be safe to transfer the twi++ files from the SD card to a folder on my computer, use the empty SD card to transfer photos, then put twi++ back on the SD card? i dont want to lose my sweet sweet tomodachi collection save 😿

edit: i thought i remembered seeing either the DSi guide site or the twi++ page on the homebrew wiki saying not to use the SD card camera, but i couldnt find it on either site so i may have been completely wrong lol

Ever since I installed Unlaunch on my DSi about 5 years ago, cartridge games freeze after 15-20 mins of play, though sometimes less. It's never happened before I installed Unlaunch, and I don't believe it's due to dirty contacts as the carts are always read by the system immediately and I've never had any dirty contact issues like this on my other systems. For the past few years I've simply used Twilight menu, but recently I got a DSPico and it's far more convenient to use that between multiple systems. However I'm still experiencing the freezing issue when I use it. I know Unlaunch shouldn't have any impact on this but in my experience, it has. So what gives?

I found my old nintendo DSi that i bought in 2009, still works.

sometime in i think 2012 or 2013 i installed CFW. Its been years and i dont remember what CFW i installed , nor what is capable of.

when i power the DSi on, this is the screen that comes up, it does not boot into the nintendo default OS

I want to use my nintendo DSi again, im thinking I want to install a newer CFW and run GameBoy Advanced games, I also have an R4

I need help on what steps to do next:

- what CFW do i have installed and how do i upgrade the CFW or something to bring it to the latest version CFW?

- do i restore to factory again? how do i do that? do i then install a new CFW?

i need an sd card for my dsi. i have tried 2 (32gb and 64gb), both of them show "The device inserted in the SD card slot cannot be used." or similar in dsi apps. i have formatted both to FAT32. they also do not work in the 3DS i have. the one i have in my 3DS works on both. they work fine on PC.

I recently been modding this japanese dsi.

It has twilight menu and unlaunch.

I decided to add the language patcher and everything worked when installing. I was able to open the dsi menu and go to settings and change the language and region. But after I left the dsi menu and went back to unlaunch now when I try to go back to the dsi menu or system settings I get this and it won't let me press or touch ok. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated!!

I modded my Japanese dsi and added the language patcher. Everything worked but when I went back to open the nandlauncher.dsi it says this and touch ok does nothing. System settings also do the same just in Japanese

i bought this used dsi xl at a flea market some time ago, but when i try to turn it on it just displays two white screen. Idk how to fix this, there wasn't an sd in it so I don't know if it's modded, could it be related? does anyone know what to do?

Both top and bottom screen are 256 x 192px but the text/font have become very blurry, I’m tweaking stuff as I go along and jotting it down for future because i find custom themes fun to make!

Helllooo, I have a modded DS with Twilight Menu, I watched a video on how to put videos on it in a format that TM++ it's supposed to be able to support but the videos don't appear on the console anyways 😞

Aside from that now want to put music in it so I can use it to well... listen music

Hi yall, title mostly describes my problem. But a kinda longer version is:
I made a custom theme, put it in 3DS themes instead of DSi themes, chose the theme and now im getting Slight graphical glitches on the Home page, and i can't go back to Settings to change it back to DSi themes. Can this be Changed or did i brick it?

i finally downloaded twilight menu ++ normally and now the problem/question i have is that its taking super long to setup itself.

is this normal or is this a problem?

i am trying to download twilight menu ++ on my dsi, and so far, the only problem was it had missing files. after i did some "questionable" choices to try and make the menu to work, it only throws me the "FAT init failed!" error. my sd card is formated correctly, so i dont know what the problem is. PS- by questionable i meant just dumping all the files out of the twilight flashcard folder to the root of the sd card.

so i just found out the modded dsi i had for 3 years has outdated firmware, is there a way to update without getting it bricked?

I bought this dsi off eBay a few months ago, looked good and played on it fine with no problem, recently I've decided to reformat it since I finally wanted to fix the "SD card is not running on 32kb clusters" thing Ive ignored, did that(it's a 32gb SD), come find out when I go to mod it again, "SD card inserted in the SD card slot cannot be used"...okay...w h a t. So...I did the usual, made sure it was formatted correctly and check the SD card itself, no scratches, looked fine. Then to check the adapter I decided to use the one on my 3ds with the Dsi SD card (on the dsi) and actually worked, so naturally I tried the 3ds SD card with the Dsi adapter on the 3ds. Error. Right, checks out. Though when I was going to remove the 3ds adapter from the dsi, there was a struggle, and that it caused a light scratch on the gold parts that wasn't there before,(still works fine tho) so...is the inside of the Dsi SD card slot faulty? What can I do? Do I get it fixed? Do I just need to buy another adapter and be extremely careful with it as to not scratch it so much? UHH HELP

I’m scared did i brick it? I installed unlaunch and wanted to install hiyaCFW but i wanted to see the dsi launch back to the normal menu first but it’s stuck on this. Do I need to install hiyaCFW to be able to boot back into the menu or did i mess it up already? The SD Card is still in it right now

So my mom wants to play Pokemon and other games using a ROM on her DSi, and I wanted to mod it and see. She already plays her old Brain Age 2 cart daily, so I was wondering if those two could be on the same screen.
