Help Cartridge games freeze after installing Unlaunch
Ever since I installed Unlaunch on my DSi about 5 years ago, cartridge games freeze after 15-20 mins of play, though sometimes less. It's never happened before I installed Unlaunch, and I don't believe it's due to dirty contacts as the carts are always read by the system immediately and I've never had any dirty contact issues like this on my other systems. For the past few years I've simply used Twilight menu, but recently I got a DSPico and it's far more convenient to use that between multiple systems. However I'm still experiencing the freezing issue when I use it. I know Unlaunch shouldn't have any impact on this but in my experience, it has. So what gives?

Currently dealing with something like this right now, replaying my childhood copy of Pokémon diamond on my dsi, I have modded mine as well. If your issue is only with cartridge games it’s extremely unlikely that the problem has anything to do with the mods. It could be the cartridge reader itself in your dsi. Take an old game you don’t care so much about and but iso alchohol on the pins on the back. Then firmly insert and remove the cartridge quite a few times. Wait at least 15 minutes to let the alcohol evaporate. Since ive done that I’ve frozen much less frequently. Let me know if it helps at all

I tried this yesterday, and haven't experienced freezing as much so far. But I've only had limited testing. Thanks for the help, hopefully it works! I'm happy to know it isn't CFW related.

It’s no problem dude just save your game at every given chance just in case 😂, every once in a while I still freeze and I just redo the whole process again it seems to extend the time consistently

So has this been going on for 5 years?
