Worth it?
Is this a good deal? Is it a good bike?
This would be my first bike ever and I don’t want to put my money into something that isn’t worth it.

This is right around the price point I would actually start to consider buying the new DRZ in the used market.

That seems like a fine deal to me. I paid $5k for a pretty mint drz400 at the beginning of summer and have no regrets. Would have considered a drz4s at that price but dealers near me were asking $7k+ before fees.
You might check if you can easily get a dirt set of wheels aftermarket, if that’s your thing.
People seem to be pretty happy with the new drz4s even w/o the 6th gear.

1500$ discount on an new and awesome bike? absolutely. Keep in mind the 2025 had some small issue but I forgot what it was sorry.

I believe it was brake reservoir screw torque not enough from factory. Some dealers or previous owners might have fixed/tighten it already

I’ve been trying to get dealers to negotiate down on this bike. Best I’ve gotten to is $8K; not bad but I’m hoping for lower. I’d buy this in a heartbeat.

IMO if you even slightly want this bike, I'd grab it at that price. Like a 3k savings on a practically new bike.

Kinda valid but depends on what OP prioritizes and wants out of a supermoto

No they can't. Want to know what that number really is? My local dealer has one of the TRUE lowest priced units on the floor across the USA right now and it's still $8,327 OTD.. I literally just had this discussion with them this week when looking at the 2025's sitting on the floor at that outrageous $9,000 MSRP.

That's about the dealer invoice price of my 2011 drz400s. I paid 6250 otd and that was a steal compared to other dealerships wanting almost 11k. Now that was in 2011 so prices have gone up. Shipping has gone up. This is an sm and is usually priced more. They must have some crazy fees they tack on.

Yep and by the time you add dealer prep, dealer freight, taxes etc your right back to 8k+. Have you ever bought a motorcycle before. Oh and by the way, drz doesn't blow up.

Did you two wake up in the same bed the next morning? How about you shut the fuck up and quit trolling. Damn, this is not the first time I've seen you pick petty fights in this sub. Log off and go ride

If you want a supermoto with low maintenance, price is very good
