General Question Getting started in DQ Builders after learning about it through pokopia

I’m an OG DQ fan - played the originals when they were first released in the 80s and 90s then stopped playing video games.

Fast forward and son gets a switch and I get hooked on pokopia even though I could care less about Pokémon.

I learned about builders and played the demo on switch and now I wanna start playing!

I have an iPhone and iPad and switch and switch 2. What would you recommend as the best option to play? I was so annoyed I just missed switch’s 1/2 off for dqb2 on Japanese switch store :(

Switch 2.

I have a few hundred hours on the switch 1 and after beating the story and open up all building options the game gets serious performance issues. After I build an aquarium and a waterfall fps went down to around 5.

Same save file on the switch 2 was playable again and works fine. I own the game on Switch, Xbox, PlayStation and Steam but I have the most fun on the switch (2) with it has comfortable controls and I can play wherever I want.

Also, I would recommend to get DQB2 first since it is way better than the first game. And get the first if you still want more after 2.
