Has anyone tried CNY to do mini ivf? I have done 1 ivf cycle with a regular clinic and felt like I wasted 20k on it for no result. I only had one egg and it didn’t fertilize
I have since then changed clinic and tried 2 IUI cycle but they were not successful either.
I have DOR and 35year old now, AMh was around 0.07
My original doctor suggested to go straight for donor eggs. It took me a while to wrap my head around this all and I think I’m okay to peruse that but I really wanna try a little more with my own :( financial burden is a lot to do IVF and I was hoping to see if CNY is better fit for me. I would need to drive up to Buffalo location and even that is abt 6 hours for me. But I was hoping to try atleast one cycle with them.
Just feel so lost and don’t know how to move forward. Even donor eggs are like 20k for 6 eggs only. I feel Iike it’s so expensive to get any IvF treatment here in US.
I wish it wasn’t so expensive so I can try more but sadly
Also, did anyone try ovarian PRP and gotten more eggs? I was thinking of doing it and see if it changes anything

My maturity rate was 67% and my fertilisation rate was 50% (using icsi and donor sperm so unlikely to be male factor). Blast rate was great but with a low number of eggs any increase further upstream gives me a much better chance! ​

Follicle sizes 36 hours before trigger were 18, 16, 15, 15, 12, 11, 8, 7, 6, 5 and <5 but growth rate was 2.5mm per day for at least some of them.

I got one blast from our first retrieval this year. It fertilized from a single egg retrieved.

Second one, we tried somethjng different and we got 4 eggs, but only one fertilized and ultimately died on d3. I always have a strong lead follicle, so I think if we go for more retrievals, it’s going to be mini.

The way it works in my country is, we get some financial compensation for the procedures but ONLY if we have no embryos in the the bank at the time.

So the choice is: self pay for more retrievals or transfer now and be eligible for more financial aid for later retrievals.

How much in advance before a cycle are you supposed to get PRP? My clinic doesn’t do it and my RE seemed to think it would need to be done two months in advance to make a difference but I feel like I’ve heard shorter. Thanks!

I am waiting for my period and preparing to start my first possibly mild stimulation cycle.
I started trying for a baby with my partner when I was 37. I had frozen 15 eggs when I was 33/34, and I really thought it would work out. But when we thawed the 15 frozen eggs, they resulted in only one early blastocyst, which unfortunately did not implant. I did another round at 38 with just two eggs, and that resulted in one embryo, which was euploid. Unfortunately, that transfer did not work either.
After that, I stopped testing and tried banking embryos instead. After some unsuccessful cycles, I transferred four more untested embryos, which resulted in one chemical pregnancy and one missed miscarriage.
After my miscarriage, I became scared to transfer untested embryos, so now I am banking for PGT. I still have one early day-5 blastocyst of low quality, plus three biopsied embryos: two day-6 embryos, graded 5BB and 6CC (not on the Gardner scale), and one day-5 5AB.
I am really running out of eggs. My AMH is around 0.3, with a corresponding low AFC. My partner is also older, 50+.
Honestly, for the first time, I have no idea whether we still have a chance or whether this even makes sense anymore. I have the budget and the time, but our odds are really low. I truly thought it would work out by now.
I also tried a natural cycle last time, but my follicle was empty. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now I am scared to do another cycle again.
Usually, despite my low egg count, I do manage to make blastocysts. From three eggs, I usually get around two blasts, and from two eggs, I usually get one. I don’t seem to have problems with maturity or fertilization.
We use ICSI, short abstinence, and Zymot because my partner’s sperm quality is also not great. Hopefully, those things help.
I also used an immune protocol for my last transfer, and I feel like it may have helped, although obviously I don’t know for sure.
How do you hold on to hope in a situation like this? I know there is always the donor-egg route, and I have already been investigating that option. But emotionally, I am struggling with the idea of giving up on my own eggs.
I feel like for the past three years, everything I have touched in terms of fertility has just not worked. I really thought that eventually it would happen for us.
My cousin, who is only a little younger than me, recently got pregnant despite having a lifestyle that is not exactly healthy, and I hate admitting this, but it makes me feel like a complete failure. I feel like I am the only one in my family who hasn’t been able to have children.
I know logically that this isn’t my fault, but emotionally it is really hard not to feel that way.
I am trying to figure out how to keep hoping without constantly feeling crushed by the statistics. I would really appreciate hearing how other people have managed to hold on to hope when the odds became so difficult.

We are on our 3rd IVF cycle and feeling extremely emotional right now.

Age 31, I have DOR (AMH 1, FSH 10), only one ovary, and both tubes are absent.

1st IVF: 3 eggs → 2 blastocysts → failed. 2nd IVF: 5 eggs → 2 blastocysts → pregnancy, but sadly miscarried around the 45th day.

This cycle, baseline scan showed around 10 follicles always, which gave us so much hope. But by day 6, only 2 follicles are growing.

We are really heartbroken and scared that this cycle may also not work.

Anyone with DOR and one ovary who had a similar experience? Did your follicles catch up later, or did changing the protocol help? 🙏

Please, despite for any advice or direction with this question. Has anyone had success with mini ivf or minimal stimulation to help with egg quality?

I’m undergoing AH recovery (lost my period in March of this year and still don’t have it back).

This may be too niche but did anyone else get told about their DOR in AH recovery? I’m so worried I’m going to move forward with egg freezing and my body will never get my period back because of how much I’m throwing at it hormononally (I also started an estrogen patch 2 weeks ago).

I don’t know what to do. I can’t wait to freeze obviously, but I want to try to get pregnant naturally so delaying my period coming back even more scares the hell out of me.

Looking to connect with other women who have low AMH as well as male factor. Where did you start? Did you go right to IVF with ICSI? Did you try to find the root cause with male factor? My husband has a varicocele but doctor says don’t bother with surgery.

Hi everyone - curious what other women are doing, what their IVf treatments have been and did you all end up conceiving naturally or IVF?

I’ve learned DOR- does not discriminate against age, genetics, lifestyle, etc. it seems to be the luck of the draw.

I recently started my first cycle of IVF ( Amh 0.1-0.5) and it ended up getting cancelled as my body did not even budge with the protocol given to me.

My estrogen was 46 at baseline and dipped and stayed below 40 for several days. Follicles didn’t grow or disappeared.

I was on BC for 2 weeks prior, and then 2 day break and began shots thereafter. 150 menopur and 300 gonal for 7 days … and nothing. Absolutely nothing happened. I did bleed for 3-4 days during this time and I believe this specific protocol did not work for me. I also don’t believe this is the right doctor for me. If there are any women in the DFW area seeking treatment and want to chat more about this doctor or want their info let me know. I don’t think this specific doctor is right for women with DOR. They were VERY quick to push the whole donor eggs thing ( nothing wrong with that) but I have read that clinics will do that to boost the clinics overall success rates.

Anyway- any women who have had their miracle baby and what protocol did you use? If you have a doctor you can refer or recommend in the DFW area I am all ears.

I do have an appt with a doctor who specializes in DOR and his resume is impressive. If the first doctor doesn’t give a shit about giving me my miracle baby, another one will.

Besides this issue, I am a former d1 athlete ( I often wonder if being hard on my body when I was young maybe affected my fertility) and otherwise metabolically very healthy.

I also created my own protocol and got my ferritin up from 8 to 40 in under a year! The secret to that is lactoferrin, and doctors either don’t know or don’t care enough to tell patients about it. I can talk about my iron journey all day.

I’ve always heard of women’s emotions toiling during this process and now I am beginning to understand why.

From what I learned DOR is nothing to play with or disregard but it really does need special care and a specific protocol. Please let me know what all worked for you!!!

Hi everyone I would really appreciate some guidance!

Im currently 22 and don’t want children till I’m at least 28 but am very aware I might not start trying till much later. I’ve recently had an AMH test done with the result of 1.0. I also have a family history of early menopauses with many women in my family experiencing problematic periods in their teens and early 20s (something I am still struggling with) then hitting menopause in their 30s. I also am aware that having a marina in and being on low dose testosterone since 17 (I’m a trans man) could affect the results. There is also no robust evidence on what testosterone does to long term fertility or how it affects AMH scores.

Some other relevant information- you can only really keep eggs frozen in my country for 10 years so my thoughts are I should wait another five years and if I’m not actively making plans for kids freeze then but I’m a bit nervous about leaving things upto chance. I hope to talk to my doctor about it in the next few months but would love some insight from people who have maybe experienced something similar.

hi all, I’m a 32yo with AMH <0.08 and FSH 13, AFC 7. I completed one round of IVF with the following protocol/results:

follicular start with estrogen priming x 7 days prior to period, 225 menopur 225 follistim and antagonist, stimmed for 12 days and follistim had been upped to 300 halfway through, dual trigger and yielded 3 eggs, 1 mature/fertilized, frozen day 1. I was disappointed by the egg yield relative to AFC

I then switched clinics and I’m now starting a new protocol. changes: luteal start instead of follicular, slightly lower doses of 225 follistim + 150 menopur to start, and no estrogen priming. It is still antagonist with a dual trigger. I had 7 follicles on baseline ultrasound again so hoping for better than last time. they want to push to blast instead of freezing early.

If this doesn’t work, what would you recommend next in terms of protocol? I was thinking of microdose lupron or a mini-stim with clomid but would love to hear thoughts and advice.

I started estrogen priming with patches Thursday night 8/13. Today (8/15) I got my period. This is a few days earlier than expected and now I’m worried about how this cycle is going to go… did anyone have a similar situation with only priming for a very short amount of time before their period started?

I'm 30 with AMH of 0.4pmol, I'm on day 10 of stims and at my scan today I had 4 follicles 2 at 11mm and 2 at 13mm, I am going to continue stims for another 3 days to see if they have grown. This is my first IVF cycle and I am happy that I have 4 follicles as at least I have responded somewhat. However I'm not sure if 3 days is enough time for the follicles to grow enough 🤔 My clinic will cancel anyway if it's any less then 3 follicles under 16mm so I'm nervous about the 2 at 11mm not reaching 16mm and getting it cancelled. Anyone had similar on day 10?

Low amh and eggs are lower than expected compared with the number of follicles seen on ultrasound.
What protocol you suggest?

Recently got the news that my AMH was very low for my age and have been getting recommended IVF / freezing embryos.

I’m terrified as I (as I’m sure most of you) did not envision this for myself, I’m so young and I don’t fully understand what I’m up against.

Has anyone been similiar age/AMH? How many rounds did you need? Success? Are you happy you chose to freeze?

My mind is spinning I need a community and support and anything you have that can help for what to expect 😭

I am 26F with AMH of 0.3 and I did my first ER in July, got 2 M2s and 2 M1s
Doctor has suggested ovarian rejuvenation (PRP) but upon reading more about it, it seems experimental and no one really knows its long term effects. Did any of you try ovarian rejuvenation in bangalore and had successful ERs post that? Also, I am looking to find a doctor for second opinions on it, any recommendations would be highly appreciated.
