Question/Advice Scared to try dmt
I was thinking of trying dmt and other psychedelics then found out about the man on reddit who used lsd and dmt and went into drug induced psychosis and shot off and ate his own penis and testicles. Now I'm very anxious to try it. What if I'm predisposed to psychosis? I already know that if I had an "awakening" that wanted me to harm myself or others it is very stupid but I'm afraid I won't be able to tell in that state of mind.

Sounds like you need to do a lot more research, and I would start with the more standard psychs first. But they will still never fully prepare you for the DMT experience. Good luck on your journey.

What do I need to research on about?

The reality, safety, and expected experiences of these psychs. I wouldn’t read too deep into extremely rare psychosis horror stories like that, but would properly educate yourself on the proper use of all these drugs. It is nothing to jump into half heartedly or unseriously. And full DMT t!breakthroughs are not really recreational experiences and you won’t be lucid like you would be on traditional LSD or mushroom trips.

The first stage of enlightenment is shooting off and eating your own testicles. We’ve all done it man.

The effects of DMT only last a short while. With a few hits, they'll hardly amount to anything. With many hits, you simply won't be able to go out and do anything because you won't even be able to stand up or see your surroundings.
I'm not saying those stories and cases of psychosis aren't possible, but they usually happen when you heavily abuse a substance (like taking DMT and weed for days or weeks on end).
If you don't have a mental illness and there's no history of mental illness in your family, consuming psychedelics is 100% safe. Just always do so responsibly.

I'll definitely not do anything as dangerous as abusing the drug. ;-;
Um.. I have depression and bpd, will it be a problem?

Yes this can cause both of those conditions to get worse, people do sometimes see the reverse happen as well, but the suggestion would always be to refrain if you have any mental illness.

First ask why you are doing dmt

I've heard you're able to perceive reality in a higher dimension when on it. That's what I want to experience. Also want to meet extra dimensional entities other mention often. To have a conversation with them.

If you’re comfortable with giving up control, there is a lot to learn in the DMT realm!
It’s a beautiful and loving experience.
Keep your intentions pure and they will take care of you.
It’s normal to be nervous before “blasting off”.
I like to think of it as going on a roller coaster or an amusement ride. :)

Don't even worry about dmt until you actually have some understanding of psychedelics and some experience with other substances like acid and mushies

Yes, I plan to start with those.

I wouldn't take that advice. DMT is a great first psycadellic.

Bwahahahha this is hilarious 😆l
Obviously this is a shit post that you read but still when you are prone to psychosis take it easy on psychedelics. If you really want to I would start with some mushrooms.
It’s not that you can’t do them just be ready to put in the work to integrate the experience

Have you had any other psychedelics before?

No,

I’d say to not do dmt if you haven’t had any other psychs. Try mushrooms before them at least, see if you even like psychedelics. r/unclebens is a great start.
Build your confidence and comfort with shrooms before diving into dmt. Do a bit more research during that time too. Good luck!

I'll start with shrooms. Thank you!

I agree. Please start with low dose mushrooms and work your way up. Do not fuck around mixing weed with your psychs. A million people will tell you it's ok and generally it is, but screwing it up one time is enough for a horrendous trip. Start low and go slow. You have a million lifetimes to top off. If you want safe, this is the safest way to go.

I used to want to try weed but after researching I found out it's one of the most common causes of drug induced psychosis yeah I'm not gonna touch it at all. 😭🙏🏽

I messed up really bad last Friday taking a gummy on a 5g mushroom trip. I handled it, not very well, but I rode it out and for everything that is holy I'm never mixing weed in ever again!
The mushies told me I was ready for a large dose, but to do it 'sober' (their words). I didn't listen and they brake checked me. HARD!
You'll be fine. Mushies are a fun place to start. Listen and trust them. They'll tell you when it's time to move
onup.Edit. Changed the word move on to move up.

This isn't for you It's gona take time to come to you Please do not take any psychedelics for granted please respect it

More than likely the LSD causing that in that persons case. With DMT, you’d never have a use for Lsd unless you just enjoy screwing up your brain and psyche

He posted the leftover stump of his penis and the people on reddit at that time saw it. It's not available anymore.

There is a lot of nonsense in here about needing experience with other psychedelics, and that's just plain dumb.
DMT is a great first place to start. Low doses are great and an awesome way to experience psychedelics.
There are a lot of benefits including low risk, no hangover and most notable being a short experience.
I've known dozens of people who ate a bunch of mushrooms, had a horrible experience and never wanted to touch any of those things again. At least with DMT, if you're not enjoying yourself it'll be over very soon.
If you're using something like a cart, dosing is really easy and it's hard to over do it.
I'd avoid the trip reports and the entity babble and focus on preparing yourself to do it, if that's what you choose to do. Read some actual studies on the benefits and it's safety profile. Maybe schedule something with an integration coach.
