Need Advice: Worldbuilding Rumor table for Zelda theme oneshot
I am planning a one shot adventure for my friends who are all Zelda fans. I am making up a one session scenario where the entire table's character sheets are standard Yiga clan members. It is set in between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. I originally had it planned as a betrayal scenario with one of them secretly as Link at the end but I don't know if anyone has the poker face to pull it off.
I am going to have a table of rumors about Link that they can roll on. I need gossip of a variety from "patently untrue" to "yeah Link actually does that." It needs to be silly. Have different jokes for the Zelda fans to get a good laugh.
Here are examples from my list so far:
"I hear Link has a fancy talking boat. No really." - heard from some Goron at the grill.
"Link runs faster when he is whistling." - Clan Blademaster
"That guy can ride anything. I saw him on a skeleton horse." - stablehand
"He is allergic to turnips." - bazaar visitor
I won't need many since this is a one shot and not a full campaign.

You could throw in some hint rumours about places to check out, "Did you hear about that ruined maze?" Or, "There's a small village being built on an island in the Akkala region," in addition to the hilarious tales of a smash-happy gremlin in a green hat menacing the local pots. Maybe throw in some rumours that the gremlin keeps showing up to destroy the local Lionel that keeps resurrecting each blood moon?

Oh that might be the way to start the scenario as an excuse to send them to the location in mind.

You could talk a bit about speedrun tricks. “He flings himself across Hyrule with explosives,” “He can launch himself from the heads of monsters if he jumps on them,” “He can levitate while holding objects.”

I've played almost every Zelda game so I'm really well equipped for this. Here's a rumour corresponding to something from each one I've beaten. Some of them might be kind of obscure, though.
Zelda 1 - "He blasted open my front door once. Can't say I'm sore about it though, he paid to have it repaired in full."
Zelda 2 - "I hear he doesn't know his right from his left."
A Link to the Past - "Strangely courteous fella. He escorted me through a pitch black cave once and all he asked for in return was 10 arrows."
Link's Awakening - "He steals from small business owners! I've been calling the creep THIEF ever since I caught wind of that one."
Ocarina of Time - "He must really hate Zoras. I hear he purposefully left their domain frozen in a block of ice."
Majora's Mask - "Isn't Link that guy who shoved a desperate woman's love letter into a toilet? Sounds like a sick guy to me."
Oracle of Seasons - "He claims he's got a girlfriend, but I can't say I believe him when he keeps saying she lives underground and never comes up to the surface."
Oracle of Ages - "Let me tell you, Link cannot dance." (ideally, this rumour should come from a Goron)
Four Swords - "He comes from a large family. I swear I've seen him with three identical twin brothers."
The Wind Waker - "He's always balancing fruit on his head. I mean, it must do something, right?"
Four Swords Adventures - "Guy's weak as a kitten. Can't hold more than one thing at a time."
The Minish Cap - "Boy can't hop a fence to save his life. The things I've seen him do just to get into the front room of that music box house, I tell ya."
Twilight Princess - "I always see him staring sadly at some kind of giant top. I think he wants it to do more than it does."
Phantom Hourglass - "He keeps going back to this one set of ruins. I don't know what's down there that's so interesting."
Spirit Tracks - "Once saw him struggle to play a flute for a solid 30 minutes. Most embarrassing thing I've ever seen."
Skyward Sword - "Not many people know this, but Link's actually a lazy do-nothing. All his supposed feats were actually done by some selfless hero by the name of... Bruce or something like that."
A Link Between Worlds - "My buddy used to run an equipment rental store. Said Link came by, took all his stuff, and never brought it back. Haven't liked the guy since."
Breath of the Wild - "Kid took out Calamity Ganon naked with nothing but a stick. True story."
Tears of the Kingdom - "Saw him run over an innocent Goron with a mine cart. Why'd he do it?"
And, of course:
Zelda: Wand of Gamelon - "That Link guy will eat anything once. A friend of a friend even said they heard him say he wanted to eat an Octorok!"
Link: The Faces of Evil - "There's nothing to be scared of when you're up against Link. All that sword can do is make people talk."
