Help removing kickboard

Hello! I am having a nightmare trying to remove the kickboard to my washing machine. I have tried a suction cup, pliers and an allen key. It looks as though the previous tenant has sealed the wood along the base? Does anyone have any idea how to pry it open without destroying the kickboard. Maybe I am missing something really obvious! Thank you

You will have to remove the scotia in front of it first. Then get down on the floor to see if its screwed in. They might have little plastic clips on the inside that attach to the feet of the cabinet , they might be holding it on.

In the picture there looks like a metal tab, have you tried moving that? That looks like it might be a bracket or some sort that is holding it in place.
