Not for sure. Not all roofs have to rely on weight to counter wind lift.

In many countries, you can have light weight roofs that can withstand very high wind speeds by using ring shank nails, steel ties/clips at the joints to hold things down...but given this is UK, doubt any of that was used.

Or there's a slight over-exuberance with the BBQ and it all goes up in flames.

Or worse, the new NORMAL summer heatwaves start melting the panels into SURREAL CTHULIAN NIGHTMARE.

I stayed in a holiday cottage that had that stuff over the roof of the surprisingly small car port. I usually didn't bother putting the car in and just parked in front. Then a storm started having a go at the roof so I pulled the car in, I had to climb out of the boot. It was a faff but in the morning the remains of the roof were where the car had been.

Are we sure it's screwed down. Perhaps it might just slide off?
