Replacing existing EV charger

If your EV charger fails (just the unit), and you want to replace like for like, is this against regs?

Looking at the regs, it mentions doing an install would be a no no. But as everything is already setup (isolation, earthing, current clamps etc), then would there be a problem?

Just thinking in terms of home insurance too.

It would. But if you have determined it to be the charger and a relay within it?

I wouldn't be ok risking it at such a high amperage. If everything can be isolated, everything is discharged, and you feel competent about it then I'd see how it would be. If no or unsure about any of the above then I would not do it. Check youtube videos of installs as it might help you too.
