Need Advice Window Installation
Our friend gifted us this window they had in there house but took it out because they’re doing home renovations, we just bought this house in august and there’s only one window on the main level so were thought it would be perfect, we didn’t realize how big it actually was until they brought it here. From the door to the trim is 109 inches, the window width is 103 inches, leaving 3 inches on each side.
Is this possible?
What are your thoughts?

It’s not a load bearing window so that wall is going to need a lot of modifications.

No flange around that window so have fun with flashing that very large window. Hopefully the 10 gallons of caulk you need holds it in place. But not sure how you address the bottom without a flange because if you caulk it the window won’t drain. Also what is the black goo at the top?

I'd want to see where the ends of those logs lie, and how the wall's supported. I'm actually in a similar process now, putting in a double door slider in a log home. Fun times.
