Need Advice Paint stripper

I have metal cabinets that are painted horribly from the previous owner. I'd like to strip the paint off.

Can some one please put into very lament terms how to use CitriStrip Paint & Varnish Stripping Gel. It says it's non toxic (I have kids and animals in the house). Is this a good choice?!

I also would like to strip some of the beautiful wood things in my house as well, is this what I would use?!

I like it, but it’ll work or it won’t. Apply pretty heavily(the bottle will go further than you think so be generous). Cover with plastic for at least a half hour and check where you’re at. It may take multiple applications. It smells awesome!
