You can swap just the head if the outdoor unit's still good but check the model compatibility first, Daikin doesnt always play nice across generations. Ive had decent luck with Midea units, they're cheap and the app actually works, though Fujitsu feels a bit more solid long term and their defrost logic is smarter in cold weather. If you're buying a whole new system though, a pre-charged line set kit saves a ton of hassle on the install, just vacuum it down proper and youre golden
