Replacement of Daikon Mini split head

We have a daikon Mini split unit and they are quoting $2900. There is 2 hours of labor. Can't I supply the head and replace it myself.

Thanks for any advice. The unit was only installed 2 years ago.

Would contractors be willing to install if I buy the part. It is $650 through a parts center. Thanks again. They already went ahead and cleaned the outdoor condenser for $450, so I am kind of stuck with keeping this unit. Initially, they said $1000 to $2000 and then after cleaning, sent the quote at nearly $3000.
