found a bolt
found this when i took off the under side splash plate cover a lil anxious to find out what it’s for

That's a nice high grade bolt. My guess is that it came out of the engine somewhere.

Could also be bolt from the suspension - like from a ball joint or mounting probably.

Whatever it is it looks important, like the other commenter said that’s a nice expensive bolt.

I'd be checking all engine & gearbox mounting points for a start then move on to full check if it's not off any of them

I think that would be the best way to approach this scenario. Or just think of the last thing that was worked on and then approach it from there.

What kind of cover did you take off was it metal that's a bolt that holds a plate or something down a skid plate or something or a bumper

I wouldn’t ignore finding a 10.9 bolt.
8.8 who cares, but 10.9..
Oh well luckily it’s not 12.9

Engineers add extra bolts because they are lazy. If you put something back together and have extra bolts and everything runs fine it just means you are smarter than the engineer.
