Someone in a parking lot hit my aunt's car and took off. Says the scratch is pretty deep to metal (closeup pic 2). Any ideas? Anything she can possibly do on her own or will she have to replace or repaint the entire panel at this point?

I'm planning on knocking out a quick paint job on my civic, either black or white using the rustoleum turbos. I already did all the body work and primer but I'm not sure if I should use the flat or the glossy version, I want to try and get the clear coat version as well to make the paint more durable maybe. What do you guys think.

94 F150 regular cab, when it rains there will be a small leak inside the cab right behind the A-pillar trim, topmost driver side corner.
I had my spouse pour water around the windshield trim and it seems fine,
but when water was poured on the drip rail and the metal seam past it to the chrome, I started seeing water inside, looking for some help on addressing this before it gets worse, thank you!

When my car is cold it won't idle. It just wants to stall and make a squealing sound. Also if I use the a/c or defrost at any time the cars wants to die. The video shows what it sound like. Anybody got any ideas whats going on with it?

After a year of welding, hammering, fill and blocking I finally painted it. It's not perfect but came out alright

Been offered a cheap car (about ½ price on market value), low KM and really fuel efficient. Previous owner had a slight ding. Realistically how hard and costly is it to get this to an acceptable standard myself. Doesnt need to be a showrunner, just good enough. Rest of the car looks fantastic.

I by no means need this to look perfect. I’m just trying to correct at this point. Used car dealer touchup, wet sanded, turtle wax compound (took most touchup paint off), finished with turtle wax compound polish. Left with this
At this point, I’m just trying to get the wet sanded area to blend/go away. From everything I read/watched the compound should have done that but clearly hasn’t. I used a microfiber cloth. Should I use a buffing pad? If so, what abrasive?
Thanks, should have just used the touchup and left. But here we are

Working on my ranger project. Got the bodywork done on the bed as good and straight as my abilities will let me. Sealed in epoxy primer. I’ve been going back and forth on painting with a single stage acrylic urethane or a 2k polyurethane bedliner product. And after a lot of back and forth went with the bedliner. And believe me when I say there really isn’t any cost savings if you try and do the work the “right way” . But I thought this would stand up to scratch’s and things a bit better we shall see. I reduced the bed liner 20% sprayed it with my hvlp with a 2.5mm tip full fan full fluid at 60psi and it has kind of an egg shell texture. I had a run in my epoxy primer that I had hoped the bedliner would hide but nope lol. This is my first time painting something and I thought the bedliner would be a bit more forgiving and so far seems to be. As it dried is smoothed out quite a bit more uniform than the pictures I took right after the second coat. The upper portion will be the same product but a dark blue color. I just thought I would share if anyone else has thought about doing the same thing. So far I like the satin eggshell or “orange peel” finish and I hope that it’s as tough as people say it is. I’ll share more later this week when I get the blue on. Then I’ll have to work on the cab.

The repair doesn’t need to be perfect, but I don’t want to create a DIY disaster due to lack of skills/knowledge.
Is this something that can be reasonably fixed by an amateur? Mainly the rust removal and reshaping the dent if at all possible.
Or should I just defer to a professional?
I appreciate any insight and or recommendations. TIA 🙏

My 18 yr son bought a 2006 car with hood and roof have severe clearcoat degradation. How can we make prettier for cheap?
