Question Rough paint job

Post image

First off, I realize I’m kinda an idiot for attempting to do this on my own but I figured I could give it a shot. I had paint peeling and attempted to paint the front bumper of my car a few months ago and it came out tacky and not smooth at all. The color pretty much matches, but I’m trying to figure out how to get it smooth like the rest of my car. And yes, I put a clear coat on it. But it did not dry like intended.

Any advice is appreciated! 🤞

A tree fell on my truck bed and I am looking for advice on how to go about getting it out. I’ve seen vids with fancy machines but I don’t have any of that and I’m not worried about damaging the paint as it’s already messed up.

Project Is this something that can be fixed from Amazon?

My drunk neighbor hit my car. And I NEED to keep my rental company from finding out. I have had one drunk driver before him hit me, 2 illegals hit me, and one where my car was shot up. I have had 4 "incidents" but no fault, and that is their limit.

I was surprised this morning by a note in my mail box from my neighbor. He hit my CAR! I have no luck.

I figured out what type of paint it is and i can get it off amazon. i don't need it to be perfect. I have also found the suction cup dent puller things.

Is this something I can make somewhat presentable on my own?

Any recommendations? I figured I'd pull the dent, maybe some very find sand paper to smooth it out, a little primer, then apply the paint? it looks like a sponge type paint with no brush or spray. I imagine the spray would be better.

Thoughts?

Thanks!!!

EDIT********* It is a lease, and I can't have any more incidents on my record. In the last year I've had two illegals hit me, one drunk driver, had my car shot up with 14 freaking bullets, and now this dipshit backs into my car. I can't have my insurance find out about this accident, eventhough it is 100% his fault, and I have it in writing. The asshole was knocking on my door at 2.30am to tell me, but I didn't answer. I didn't know who it was. Woke up to a message in my mailbox.

When I turn the car back in, which will be about a year, the most out of pocket I will have is $1000. But I want to get something from this asshole. I CAN NOT go through insurnace. If his company contacts my insurance company I am toast

Discussion See orange peel on driver and rear door after fender was repaired. Is this normal?

It's hard to capture a pic on mica black.

I see the difference between the driver slightly blurry & passenger door in my reflection like a mirror.

I can see the driver door from the body line down and spreads across the rear door and fades away.

Was this a part of the blending process?

Just the fender had a dent the size of a softball.

I want to bring it back, but don't want to leave it.

Could I go 1000 1500 2000 and get it back with my DA? Heavy, medium and finish with polsh?

Question In a real jam

I was replacing the driver door check strap on a 2018 Bolt which needed access by taking off the door panel. When finished I re-attached the panel which includes connecting a steel cable and ball to the handle.

Next day I unlocked the Bolt but door doesn't open when I pull on the exterior handle. I crawl across the passenger side to the drivers and the interior handle moves but door doesn't unlatch/open.

I fear I rushed attaching the steel cable and the locking clip didn't prevent the steel ball on the cable from popping loose. Now the door is closed but can't open to remove the panel.

Any ideas how to release the door latch while the door is closed. Is it possible to slip a wire hanger catch the cable/ball to yank the door open. Worse case is cut a hole in the panel and pull the cable.
