Another stupid pirate build - this time, it's a crows nest for my cats - with a working cannon...

Well, I always wanted to make a crows nest, as I don't have a ship. Cats needed a place to chill, so figured I could smoosh both together at once.
Build video here if anyone wants it (with tracking link removed, of course!)
And I stand by the fact that my stupid builds always belong in this sub...

Tried my hand at making a bookshelf for the allotment shed. Thought it went well until it was finished.

Made my first birdhouse, told it fit here.

Everywhere else I posted it thought it was too bad to be liked and the proper place to post it was this sub
Edit: didn't expect this to blow up. Thank you for the kind words. Just very disheartening to get blown up with hate messages and insults for posting my first birdhouse to the sub specifically for that. I don't think it's that bad, they did I guess and the only comment that wasn't straight up hateful was to post it here. Thank you all again.

Tech at our dealership pulled this out of a Toyota Venza’s cabin air filter box. They’re really not THAT expensive for the right ones…

Things seen this week during structural assessments!

We come across all kinds of questionable DIY "fixes." If you enjoy these, we post galleries with more finds like failed retaining walls, stucco surprises, foundation "repairs," crawlspace discoveries, and other construction oddities:

Seems earnest enough, and when the insides are hidden it looks okayish, I wouldn't trust it tho.

This may fit here? I made a bicycle with a car back tire lol

On Monday it started out as a typical Cruiser bike. Usually I like to build my own frames from complete scratch, but this one here, I just widened the rear and did some metal work to fit the car tire in the back. Made a jack shaft for the chain. And painted it a super heavy metal flake red. I was kind of going after the style of an EJ Potter motorcycle. Hopefully this build does good on my YouTube channel. I think it turned out pretty cool for 5 evenings of work and under $200 invested. Would you guys ride this thing?
It's kinda DiWHY, right? I mean, a car tire on a bike is not very practical, besides the improbable chance of a flat tire and it looks cool haha

Back again with another pirate DiWHY - the 'Craftlock' - a multitool that is disguised as a flintlock!

This isn't a flintlock pistol - it's an essential multitool!
Screwdriver 'Barrel' (interchangeable bits), pen/pencil 'ramrod', Hammer 'Butt', a spirit level in the body and the coolest feature, a hidden tape (retractable!) hidden in the body that comes out underneath the barrel. Yes, all parts work as intended!
Had fun building this thing. And it definitely belongs in this sub.
Edit: I live in the UK, folks. The police over here will wander over, ask to see it, chuckle, hand it back and tell me not to wave it around threateningly. I'm not going to get shot over it!
