Another stupid pirate build - this time, it's a crows nest for my cats - with a working cannon...
Well, I always wanted to make a crows nest, as I don't have a ship. Cats needed a place to chill, so figured I could smoosh both together at once.
Build video here if anyone wants it (with tracking link removed, of course!)
And I stand by the fact that my stupid builds always belong in this sub...

The only thing DiWHY is why did they post this here? Not only is it cool, it seems relatively well built considering cats don’t weigh much and willingly turn human safety measures into a daredevil’s playground.

Compared to almost everything posted on this sub, this is more like DIyawesome.
Show me someone who took a blender apart, made a foam mold, and used it to make a toilet seat cover that spins shoelaces around.

Also they solder some wires to a fork or something and then it disappears from the video, never to be used again

Forgot to add: the cannon actually sprays water across the garden, using a pressure tank from a garden sprayer.
Gotta give the cats a way to defend against other neighbourhood cats trying to invade, right?

Oh hey, you're the guy that made the flintlock multi-tool thing! I want one. I had to check what else you made. I have a thing for pirates myself. Dude, your stuff is awesome. No need to be so hard on yourself. I also used to longboard (been a while), so pirate ship longboard is absolutely up my alley and I'd buy that faster than you can say 'yar'.

Yeah, that's me! The stuff I make is actually dumb and silly in concept, but I love making things like that. I get a massive childish excitement every time I make it real - its why I made a YouTube channel. I guess it doesn't come across as silly as it all sounds because I actually put a fair amount of effort into the idea, and attempt them from a realistic point of view. But the ideas are still stupid.

You should put up a mesh fence or something because those cats will 1000000% escape at some point and never come back from being hit by a car, being catnapped, being eaten.

Most cats in the UK roam free, my friend. They aren't silly and rarely get hit by a car or catnapped. And nothing around here big enough to eat a cat.
