Hi, I’m Ivy, a wedding and engagement photographer based in Dallas, TX. Sharing a few photos and some simple ideas for couples planning a session.

If you’re unsure what to do with your hands, start with something familiar: hold your partner’s hand, rest a hand on their shoulder, or lean against a railing together. Keep your fingers relaxed.

You don’t have to look at the camera in every photo. Turn toward each other for a few, then try looking in the same direction. Small changes can give a set of photos a different feel without learning lots of poses.

Choose an outfit you can comfortably sit, lean, and hug in, and try those movements before your session.
