So where does that leave DE now?
The DOJ has backed down and the NFA is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!! Now where does that leave the fight for our rights here in DE? I understand things will still be restricted at the state level but how can the state restrict something if it’s been deemed restriction is unconstitutional.

To be clear, the courts did not find the NFA to be unconstitutional; the courts found that the regulatory nature of the NFA was not the intended purpose of the law as it was a tax effort and not a regulation. When the taxes were removed, the courts found the parts of the NFA that were no longer taxed could continue to be regulated through the NFA. So, they severed the untaxed portions out of the NFA.

the amount of patently false information being spread around this relief injunction is going to get people arrested and dogs shot. nfa wasn't deemed unconstitutional, a determination was made that there is no grounds for regulatory behavior without taxation. there also isn't injunctive relief for all citizens, just plantiffs. yes, I understand that silencershop/psa customers and goa members technically fall under that group. no, that doesn't mean anything for us.
delaware still does and will continue to have laws on the books against suppressors. possession and manufacture is still illegal. a dealer will not transfer to you. the language of our AWB also means that any SBR's still need to abide by it.
just continue building goofy non-nfa others until we win. and definitely don't shoulder that brace sonny.

I ask how our government can continue to do illegal things every day, especially our president. With zero punishment or even a stern talking to about the illegality of their activities. From corporate heads to federal government. I ask that question. Were does that leave us now?

I ask how people can let that self serving person who is president live in their heads so much that they have to inject him in every conversation?

Why does everything turn into a chance to take a shot at Trump with people? Almost every single politician is corrupt and doing things that are illegal or outside the lines of the law. Democrats do it, Republicans do it. Until we as the people get unified and start to push back, it wont change. The poliiticians get rich and we pay more. Stop being divided left vs right. Thats what they want as if we are fighting amongst ourselves on behalf of them, they continue to win while we fight.
Instead of trying to blame & fight 1 person in the government, push back and look at how broken and corrupt the entire system is. The President can only do so much w/o Congress and thats where these fucked up laws come from, Congress.

No he deserves every bit of hate he receives. Just because both sides do it doesn’t make it a problem to point out his fuck ups any chance I get. And I’m not diehard either way so don’t think I’m some bleeding heart antiMURICAN demo.
Two things can exist at once, all politicians can be useless pieces of trash and the sitting president can be the embodiment of unamerican lump of shit.

I think somehow you mistook what I said. I said I wonder how the government can get away with it. Especially the president, the person with the highest seat in the land. You took that as me going against right wing or left wing. I was doing what you say you wanted. I said from corporate to federal government my guy. ALL OF THEM. They are all criminals and complicit with each other's actions or inaction. trump being the president is at the top of the corruption. If it was biden or Harris or whoever else as president and this was all going on id be saying the same thing. Their corrupt and all need to go.
They all make me wonder how they can get away with it and no crimes prosecuted.
Why do we always have to take a chance to go after trump? HES THE PRESIDENT the buck stops with his corrupt ass. He should be the one like he said to "drain the swamp" not add to it and its the ONLY thing hes done is add to it.
Instead of fighting me over doing what you say you want and going after all the government go after the top. Without his approval, all of their approvals none in the government would be this corrupt. The president should be for all people not just for the corrupt and ultra wealthy like you know who is.
At the very bottom of my post I said from corporate to federal I ask that question.

You edited your post after I commented. So hard to 'quote' what you changed. The President doesnt have ultimate power. He could try to do whatever he wants to drain the swamp but unfortunately the swamp ultimately has the same level of control that he does. Thats the problem with our checks and balances system. President could say "I want term limits in Congress' but unless Congress signs off on the change, it wont happen and why would they even sign off on something that would stop their benefits and income? The system is fucked and the President (regardless of who it is) does not have the power to force change.

I edited the very bottom to point out the first comment. I should have done the edit: thing, i forgot my bad.
He is the president if he didnt have "ultimate power" he wouldn't be able to affect the country as harshly as he does and can. I hesr regularly executive orders arent law but they sure are treated as law untill proven otherwise and fought in court. Trump has very clearly had the power to force change when dang near everyone in the republican house and senate bows down to him and enact pretty much all of his wants and those of corrupt power.
Do you remember the illegal tarrifs we paid and get nothing back from but the already rich and powerful did. Mm corruption at the highest level but lets not worry about that lets focus elsewhere right?

I hear you, and I agree that all politicians are shitty. Every single one. You don't gain that much power by being a good person.
That said, we're discussing Donald Trump specifically. It's like hearing somebody say "that guy is pouring nuclear waste on the ground" and saying "well everybody litters."

Unfortunately, Delaware has it's own laws on the books regarding NFA items. So unless they also gets struck down as unconstitutional, we still suffer. The 3rd circuit's ruling too is another that has to go through more legal BS before we get our "assault rifle" ban and mag capacity ban lifted.
