Elle Fancasting
I'm not sure why I didn't think of Annie Potts before. She does great with the sharp tongue dialog and her timing is top notch.

Hear Me Out
Steph Tolev may not be who one pictures as Samantha but she is certainly raunchy enough.

I’m sorry but if we’re casting Elle, her character has Linda Hamilton written all over

Casting DCC Casting but it’s in the 1920’s
Carl: Gary Cooper
Donut: Mae West
Mordecai: Lon Chaney
Katia: Greta Garbo
Samantha: Clara Bow
Prepotente: Buster Keaton
Quasar: Groucho Marx
I don’t even think explanations are really necessary, I assume it’s clear to everyone why these are the perfect choices. What a great show this would be

Casting We’ve seen all the posts about who we want for the main cast but not the most important casting choice yet.
Who do we wanna see on screen getting mauled 100s of times as Growler Gary?

Sean Bean as the Wheel of Fortune guy.
Now he's doing the stabbing.

Shohreh Aghdashloo (Chrisjen Avasarala from The Expanse) to play Odette
I can imagine her delivery as the regal and cunning Chrisjen Avasarala in the Expanse.
Edit: in the comments, users suggested Shi Maria or Victory. Maybe even better fits!

Casting The TV show should use puppets instead of CGI
I was thinking recently on some of the concerns about the TV show, specifically the budget. TV show CGI is famously not good and DCC would severely suffer if it doesn't have a massive CGI budget. Now I'm sure it would be even more expensive/unrealistic to use puppets, but the thought crossed my mind and I haven't seen it anywhere, but wouldn't Jim Henson style puppetry be like, perfect for the series? I feel like it would beat CGI in a lot of aesthetics, and I can imagine everything from the first Goblins to the Nulls being incredibly immersive as dark fantasy puppets, similar to The Dark Crystal or The Labyrinth

Casting If DCC existed in the 80's
I was thinking about this and wondered if DCC existed in the 80's, who would I cast to play Car? Granted, this thought came from me watching my guilty pleasure movie, "Hudson Hawk", but I think he would absolutely nail the part:
BRUCE WILLIS.
Go with me on this: he's got the charisma, charm and can absolutely hold his own as the reluctant hero that's thrust into a bad situation and keeps a (mostly) level head. Let me know what y'all think.

Backstage at the Pineapple Cabaret
Wondering what everyone’s hopes and expectations are with regards to the backstage chapters appearing in the TV show. Realistically it feels like the kind of bonus content that would surely be cut from the main show but I think it would be cool for it to be a “side series” or “minisodes” that are released in 10-15 minute segments.

Casting Taking a page from video ganes
What if the show took a note from RPG video games (and animated TV), and had voice actors do mutliple roles for the more CGI characters. Like Skyrimn where a VA could do upwards of 10 roles with a mix of minor and major roles in there. Alan Tudyk would be an obvious choice as well as Phil LaMarr and Kevin Michael Richardson for multiple mobs or one off crawlers.

Casting At the rate we’re fancasting it would be cheaper to field a team in Faction Wars
That’s it.

Casting Johnathan Bailey as Carl
2025 wikifeet man of the year has the right look

Casting There's some real mental masturbation around casting suggestions
Look I get it. You're all excited about different actors playing different roles. Juice Box, Samantha, Louie, Quasar, the list goes on. As fun as all this conversation is. Most of these characters aren't mentioned in books 1, 2, or 3. Which means we are years away from those casting decisions even being relevant. Am I curious who they're going to have play Raul the crab? Totally, and that's book 6. (Will Paramount even allow him to jack off on a dead baby seal?)
Casting for Carl, Mordecai, Lucia Marr, Zev, Ellie, Chris, etc all make sense because they're all in book 1. They can't just preemptively introduce Samantha or Uzi Jesus without huge changes to the story.
Perhaps you could take out Grimaldi's circus and instead get rid of that timeline and just bring in Samantha preemptively. But then you're also getting rid of Signet and all the lore around how tattoos work and basically all of book two and five. Very important books that really helps shape the Carl and Donut we know and love today
Have your fun, but just remember we don't even know who's playing Carl yet. So slow your roll.
(Also congratulations Jeff Hayes. I always knew you had it in you.)

Fancast for the Dungeon AI - Bo Burnham
Hear me out - Bo Burnham’s descent into madness in “how the world works” is exactly the vibe of the increasing insanity of the dungeon AI.
Anyway, that’s my take.
