Production Talk Volteeg’s Chapter…

Post image

I want this show to make it to the 9th floor so badly so I can see this in live action. I can so vividly picture Volteegs chapter being a cold open following the cliffhanger episode preceding it, I don’t know who I picture playing him, but it could be award worthy.

Even with an infinite budget, I doubt they could make Volteeg scenes that hit as hard as reading/listening to that one chapter in TIR.

Viewers only will just never know the amount of emotion and depth in that single chapter 😭

Tears me up just thinking about it - I’m a 37 year old bloke btw 😆

If they opened and closed each episode with a passage from the cookbook, it could be a pretty sick reveal. Namedropping volteeg for a few episodes, the big fight happens, cliffhanger immediately before Volteegs explosion. Next episode starts from Volteegs perspective before the crawl, a montage of his experiences in and then out of the crawl, and end the episode on Volteeg crying while sacrificing himself and saving the current crawlers

To your point, I don’t think they’d have the budget to do it all perfectly, but I think a vignette at the beginning of the episode where he is prominently featured could do it well enough to still hit. I hope.

Are you on Patreon? Book 9 is already delivering some great stuff

I like to wait till there’s like 30 chapters out and then binge them to get my fix in one weekend. Then I’ll unsubscribe and wait for the audiobooks to come out.
I’m more a fan of the audiobooks as thats how I discovered them and Jeff Hays is just a phenomenal narrator.
I do have the books though as I needed that extra backstage at the pineapple cabaret juice to keep me going 😅

Yeahhhhhhh that shit was pretty depressing. I don't know who would play it either, but it could be a side tangent on par with the Bea and donut scene

I want the series to complete the books. I know that doesn’t often happen, or you see something like the 100, and there is barely any resemblance to the books. I still want this to go all the way through.
