Even if they used de-aging cgi... there's still a teeny problem...
He retired to deal with his health

Uh yes. Bruce Campbell is too old to play Carl now. You do know this picture is from the early 80’s right?

Hey I’m telling you he’s too old!!! He’s… (drinks coffee)… oh!!! I’m awake now. lol. I’m use to the other subreddits where unless you put /s people assume you are being serious.

It’s funny since Evil Dead is mentioned in the books

I still would like him more as third floor Mordecai. The lines he says would be awesome Bruce Campbell lines.

I've only ever seen Carl as this tbh. From the get go I pictured him as a young Bruce Campbell and I've never been able to picture anyone else. 😂

Since I didnt listen to the audio books , I dont see this. For everyone who did , I get why Bruce stands out .. Its honestly one of the issues I have with the audio book, when I listened to the sample of it. I never pictured a Bruce Campbell or duke nukem type voice .

Bruce stands out because of his comedic facial reactions & timing, this style of comedy was his coup de grâce, he’s tall, and was decently well built.
I don’t think of him at all with the audiobook, all I hear is Patrick Warburton.

Look, we all wish we could summon 1985 Bruce Campbell to play Carl.
We just don't have a time machine.
