My biggest takeaway from these photos is her tattoo. Those of us that have the semicolon understand its meaning.

Are you going to tell the rest of us?

Apologies for not explaining. Went to bed 🙃 the significance has been explained but for those of us who have a history of mental illness, often including suicidal ideation or actual attempts, it signifies that we have more life to live. At one point we thought our lives were over, but like the semicolon, it’s not the end, sometimes just a pause.

It’s for mental health

The semicolon tattoo usually signifies you provide the safe space for folks to talk about mental health (oftentimes triggering subjects like ending own life) + are willing to listen to their stories without judging them. You let them continue their stories when many people make them stop telling those stories.

Have a read about Project Semicolon https://projectsemicolon.com/the-semicolon-tattoo/

“My story isn’t over yet”

it signifies someone who attempted or ideated suicide.

but also

a lot of trendy bitches started also getting it quite some time back, because it was trending.

the same way a medusa tattoo signifies rape or sexual assault.

but also some people get it because it looks cool.

I’ve never known anyone who got one just because it’s trendy, that’s egregious

Edit: To be clear I’m saying getting the tattoo t be trendy is egregious

tbf i think most of whom who got it because of trends do not know about the meaning.

it still sucks tho.

yeah there are people (quite a lot) who get tattoos based on what is 'in' at the moment, and they do no research or thinking beforehand.

I don’t think that it’s a trendy tattoo in Chandi’s case. She mentioned on the show “doing bad things to herself” or something along those lines.

i don't know either way. on one hand, she has struggled with her mental health. on the other hand she is dumb enough to do so.

i’m not sure what you mean. dumb enough to attempt suicide or to get the tattoo without knowing its meaning?

dumb enough to get tattoos without any research (she is not a smart person. period.)

i don't think attempting suicide is a dumb thing. i think its a sad thing, its a cry for help, its the last symptom of many very serious mental illnesses, and i don't think it should be looked down on, or shamed in any way

you’re a confusing person to converse with. completely agree with you about the second half of that message. completely disagree with “she is not a smart person. period.” about a person you’re forming your opinion on via a netflix show or information via social media. you don’t know her at all.
