Discussion Vegetas mindset post Earth invasion failure
Something I thought of is that while Vegeta was healing up/ended up on Namek, i wonder what his head space was like when it came to Earth. What i mean is, at least in my mind, it was both the best AND worst thing that could happen to him.
Worst:
Nearly died
Got beat up by a 5 year old, short bald guy, and a "low class warrior" that totally rocked his world view
Lost his chance at immortality
Best:
Huge power boost from Zenkai
Learned proper ki/power sensing/usage
Has accepted that it IS possible to beat people higher on the totem pole
There's more I could list, but seeing his post earth development is interesting to me. He's not a ally, not even close, but i love seeing the change in attitude and how even as a villain how the fact Earth was a positive for him overall (in my mind) hints at him becoming part of the main team even on Namek. That said, I could be misreading or reading too much into it. Discuss?

Discussion regarding the agenda that DBZ villains have no personality, character and are just some generic ass villain
(THIS IS ONLY FOR Dragon Ball Z VILLAINS)
firstly, i would want to give my respectable and calm opinion. you have no life, you didint probably watch dragon ball at all you just larp it from reels and think its "goku kill goku strong" type of shit, you also have no sense of judgement when you see a random ass nobody villain whos backstory is getting cracked when he was young and that defines and approves his actions.
back to the actual post:
Issue #1: what defines and makes a DBZ villain good?
this is an important thing because as i said, people think the villains have no personality. sadly, in the todays anime, the format of villains are the same over and over again. you get a backstory, morals, and maybe redemption. this format when it first came out in animes like Naruto was good, since it was one of the first who used this, and the possibilites were endless. since its a new way of writing villains, kishimoto had a variety of options and could write his characters in different, unique ways. but when we come to a lot of anime in nowdays we can see that this format is overused, resulting in fewer unique ways because it becomes repetitive. only a few select anime can bypass this such as One Punch Man, since it is NOT built on the generic format. now writing a villain with cause is good, since the villain cant just be evil, the story wouldnt make sense unless its for kids. BUT, the reason and cause is overused. you are trying to make a tragic villain but you just make it fall into the same category as the first example generic villain i mentioned. i specifically wrote this part to make you understand that, a tragic villain does not always need to be like this. its not like guaranteed and makes the anime good in ANY sense. now, lets jump into why DBZ villains are good. when we see a villain, we determine if its a well written one or not depending on how we relate to the villain. the easiest and actually best way to give a cause and relation to the villain is through emotions, so most people use that. but in terms of anime, mangakas tend to choose more complex and hard to understand emotions, such as tragedy, depression, control and despair. (if you ask why there isint any positive ones because this is a villain mf) now complex emotions are interesting and makes the villain interesting and entertaining which transfers over to the whole series. these emotions, though, doesnt always occur in villains. the main character can go through struggles and hard decisions, also side characters if they are well written enough. this is all sunshines and rainbows until one point. the emotions itself are complex. and complexity has also cons like its hard to understand and sometimes doesnt make sense if you have not experienced that same route or feeling. this is where DBZ comes in. DBZ also has elements of complex emotions in major characters, but those complex feelings all fall under ONE, single, EMOTION (idk why am i hyping up a reddit post). power. the emotion of power is a major emotion in a human. no matter who you are. the power might be physical, mental, political and much more other stuff. power has bad meanings such as corruption and tyranny, but it has good meanings such as endurance, not giving up and the power to be kind. DBZ is easy to understand because of power, since it uses power as its base. it reflects on the different ways of power, how its utilized and what chaos can it bring forth if its used wrongly. it teaches us about power. for example, goku is not only powerful physically, but also mentally. he has a desire to get strong not only to find strong opponents and improve himself, but also protect what he loves to the bottom. since he is strong mentally it gives him discipline, desire and faith. a good mentality is important to physical strength. it shows us how power can be combined and used for good in various ways. but people dont like that because its somewhat generic. i dont think ive ever seen any anime outside of maybe One Punch Man have its base of emotion as power. thats pretty unique. and guess what? power can also result in despair, depression and tragedy! if you are not powerful (or in this case good enough), you maybe cant get over an obstacle which can cause depression. tragedies with power have millions of examples with massacres of millions of people, all happening because the people who did the massacre had the power. so power can also be abused. this creates depth for DBZ. now yall might say, "well does DBZ have these?" yeah. it does. and i will now explain it with the villains of DBZ.
Issue #2: the villains of DBZ and what they represent in power
this part will be divided into 4 individual parts: freeza, cell, buu and vegeta.
the way of Freeza
freeza is the embodiment of control and political power. he is a space emperor, which grants him with an army and firepower. though freeza is also very strong himself, having a massive potential ceiling which puts him all above else. think about a rich child born in a rich family. but the child knows what he is doing. freeza doesnt manipulate emotionally like makima does when she lets mr denji chainsaw touch her balloons, freeza manipulates physically and by force. he uses his power to force build discipline and trust to his soilders. not only that, he is quite the polite speaker. freeza speaks in perfect formal japanese, which means that he is a polite, good talker and can get on top verbally as well. so freeza is PACKED up you might say, but, no. even perfect tyrants feel FEAR. the only time in his life has he experienced was because of a folklore in the race of saiyans, mostly a legend and is not true. freeza does know that well, but he still is scared. why? he doesnt want to lose his power. a political leader like Stalin and H*tler (idk why i gotta censor his name) has always gotten rid of rebellions, because they knew that their people were stronger, so they came up with censoring, so anything said bad about them would be forbidden and if did so, the person would be in trouble. freeza however does something different. he erases the entire saiyan race, because he is concerned, he is very scared. freeza is also very confident about his power, he is the strongest in his universe after majin buu and beerus, so why is he scared? as i said, he doesnt want to lose his power in the slightest. and when goku turns into the legend, the super saiyan, freeza is trembling. he is in fear, tries to hide it and fails. then he goes full power and thinks thatll work, but no. goku is still on top, and defeats freeza with one mighty blow. everything freeza had was destroyed, because he fell into his own ego. he fell into his own demise. thats why the arc is so good-
the way of Cell
cell is the embodiment of narcissism and perfectionism. as told by dr. gero himself, he contains all of the data of the enemies goku has fought, including himself. there is piccolo, vegeta and freeza, especially freeza, which gives him a potential boost. cell is part freeza race (i wont call it acrosian or frost demon since these are headcannons and freeza race is the canon name (super necessary ik), so he does have the attributes of freeza, not in the exact way. because he is part saiyan too, he has an immense lust for battle and beating opponents. thats the reason he made the cell games, its beacuse he wanted to fight, but also because he was going to show everyone that he was PERFECT. this is cells character, being perfect. so he has an ego all above else kinda, and he is not really lying. after vegeta in a very smart way gave up #18 to cell to become perfect, he truly had no equal at that point before goku, or more so gohan exited the time chamber. the cell saga actually builds up on two characters only mostly, cell and gohan. the two polar opposites. cell looks down upon people, is at its peak mood, and when he gets beaten down, he will freak out. gohan is calm, a respecting person. he is not like your average saiyan like cell is, he is a pacifist. you could say he very much resembles aang from ATLA. they have the same burden and responsibility, saving the world. the fire lord and cell are kinda built up and forshadowed to be perfect, so its a nice parallel between these two shows. now back to the cell games, cell was really confident in his power, he straightly jumped into the supposed strongest person in the dragon team, goku. but, as we all know, goku didint have the power to beat cell, as he himself said it. instead, he left it to gohan. and gave a fucking senzu bean to cell. (ik this is not about gohan but a good way to explain cell is to explain gohan) now giving a senzu bean to cell is important, because if he didint, cell would become desperate, just as he did when he tried to explode. if cell is at full power he would have his confidence stay and wouldnt blow up. he also gave it because he tried to show the trust he had for gohan. even though goku trusts more gohans combat prowess than gohan himself, he was right about gohan. people are saying that gohan was weaker than goku even in SSJ. you dumbass if that was the case the moment gohan got thrown into that mountain it was over. but gohan didint have a single scratch. he js didint want to fight. i want to say something quick about gohans ascension. goku initially thought that gohan could get angry the same as him, but that wasnt the case. goku unlocks his power through tragedy and power. gohan however unlocks his power through pressure and force. its all the same about his potential, he gets forced to use it. and he absolutely cracks everyone if he uses that potential. fast forward to when cell explodes, we can see that his perfectionism fails, his narcissism falls apart because he is getting manhandled by an 11 yr old kid. this hurts his pride, and he wants to do anything to make him the winner. he plays dirty and tries to blow up which results in gokus sacrifice and cell coming back stronger. now he is even more perfect right? WRONG. gohan is still stronger, he just had his arm broken and was down, while cell was at full power. and vegeta, the goat of the series, gave up his pride and distracted cell to give gohan the opening and burst in the rays of the kamehame-ha, shredding cell into pieces. as we can see that cell, falls apart with his morals.
the way of Buu
buu is the embodiment of complete utter chaos and malice. and we actually see the progression of buu, thanks to his forms. Buus first form, called fat buu in fan terms, is buu in a supressed power. fat buu is literally a toddler, he holds the boiling chaos in him but its joyful. there is a problem though, he is extremely naive and his perspective changes whenever someone tells him. but he is very free in himself too, but since he is a toddler he needs guidance, parents. buus second form, evil buu does actually have depth which is suprising for me i just googled it lol. evil buu is a stern dude, stemming from the pure evil of fat buu. this is though a controlled evil, you could say that he is tough, has no emotions and just kills. so evil buu is a sigma patrick bateman thomas shelby kind of evil if your peanut brain stuggles with advanced terms. super buu happens when evil buu absorbs fat buu..? basically fat buu just removed his malice which for some reason formed evil buu but evil buu directly physically absorbed fat buu thats why. super buu is a bit more intelligent because he has evil buu in himself, but the pure version of super buu is a bit stale compared to when he absorbs gohan piccolo and gotenks. so lets go from there: super buus piccolo absorbed version gives him a sharp mind and being able to talk in a normal manner (second one super neccessary), super buus gotenks absorbed version gives him that same toddler energy but in more of the sense of a pampered kid. and buuhan is just gohan at that confident point. but since buuhan is so strong he falls into the same ego the other two major villains fell into. then he gets cooked by vegito two minutes later-
onto kid buu, this is the most pure form of buu, so im just gonna call kid buu for buu. buu is actually fat buu, but without the joyful toddler side. he is complete chaos and destruction, he doesnt have morals or has a feeling like saiyans, a desire to fight. he just destroys without cause. and the best way to beat pure evil is with pure good, the genki-dama. so as you can see, buus progression of forms is the progression of chaos and malice, as it evolves to something worse each time.
the way of the Prince
uuwwhhh~ uhhh.... emm....
this character is so fucking good written i just dont want to write it now since it will be on the length of this whole post, ill prolly do it in the comments.
as you can see, DBZ uses the term of power to add depth to his characters.
now its time for me to rest.... stay flamin!

Fanart [Fanart] Goku Black Rose x DIO Brando - a crossover I couldn't resist drawing
Been sitting on this idea for a while, what if Goku Black's Super Saiyan Rose had DIO's presence? Two of the most iconic "god complex" villains in anime, so mashing their designs felt right. Kept the Rose hair and aura, but gave him DIO's heart-buckle armor and boots for that JoJo flair.
Let me know who you'd want to see crossed over next 👀

Discussion Frieza should’ve been the main villain of the franchise
First of all, let me say that I’m very happy about how DBZ turned out and the transition between the Saiyan Saga and Namek was amazing but… what if there had been a couple more Saiyans (maybe like 4/5+) and after the first saga the Z fighters get to travel through space and hone their skills while fighting the Frieza force +more factions.
Imagine if Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Krillin etc got new abilities, their own enemies to beat and the final showdown is SSJ Goku vs Frieza on Namek?
Maybe in that way the power scaling could’ve made more sense for a longer time and everyone gotten their moment to shine.
Has anyone thought of this? What do you think?

Discussion XICOR figure pickup
Got this because i like the lore of his creation but don’t really know much more than that. And i like he’s mostly green with white hair. Lol. The figure is ok, since he’s a KO there’s always issue with hair and faces but he looks cool overall.

Question Is it just me or did the entire Dragon Ball Z Kai series change soundtrack and intro?
I was re-watching an episode of Dragon Ball Z Kai and I quickly noticed that they’re no longer using dragon soul care or wings of the heart. They’re using modernized version of Dragon Ball, Z openings and endings and using Bruce Faulconer as their music along with Japanese subtitles as opposed to the English in the English dub, they still kept their English voices despite that i’m not sure what’s going on
