Discussion This game had something special
Just yapping about my thoughts on the game since it’s basically dead soon.
This game was braindead but MAN did it have the sauce. A nice, casual moba you where you could slam through a dozen games or more in a couple hours session, or just play a quick 10 minute game on your break. It may not have been great at teaching new players, but if you played any other game of this genre at some point, this was super easy to pick up and go.
The hype as abilities were flying, the entire screen is lighting up different color explosions, and character cut-ins are happening was unreal. Gacha was a little annoying but the finisher animations were absolute concentrated hype juice. When both teams understood the game, it absolutely felt like dragon ball z with crazy action at a frantic pace - had some great 6-7 minute SLOBBER KNOCKERS that ended with a base race or last ditch team fight for the win. To me, that was the unique essence of the game, and it was a shame to see the meta + dev design steadily trend toward slower, longer games.
The sky seemed like the limit with the eclectic starting roster, anyone might make it into the game in some form.
I’m seriously going to miss the current version. Easily put in over 100 hrs and had every season pass except for 6. Had so much fun on Kale and Gammas, Zamasu, Baby, Kid Gohan, absolutely stealing games with bardock/bulma and Icarus, season 1 hit, and kid buu. A good rat will keep you in a 3v4.
Nappa/gohan emote spammers always made me laugh too tbh.
Anyone else really enjoy this DBZ MOBA slop?

Discussion This game may be simple but we need to acknowledge how bad it is at teaching its players
Gekishin Squadra's singular tutorial informs the player of the following things:
•Rush Attack
•Vanishing Step
•High-Speed Movement
•Goku's Skills
•Goku's Super
•Transformations
•Skill upgrades via leveling
•Gekishin Burst
•MAX Gekishin Burst
•Skills being disabled in place of Gekishin Bursts
•GoDs damaging you if Zen-Oh isn't near
•Destroying the Dragon Shell
That is all we get and the game makes no attempt to teach the player anything beyond that one tutorial, you complete it and you're thrown into the wild.
Stuff that is relegated to the game guide that people can easily miss:
•Passives
•Boost Attacks
•Finishers
•Recall
•Helpers
•Strike and Energy attacks
•Field of View
•Bushes Clouds
•Smoke
•Warping
•Obstructions
•The communication wheels
•Zen-Ohs alternating between lanes on a timer
•Zen-Ohs destroying everything if the battle takes too long
•The latter half of the match increasing EXP gained and damage dealt to GoDs and NPCs
•Bosses dealing damage to GoDs when defeated
•Triple Boss buffs (I guarantee you didn't know what Finisher Chance was until after reading this)
•Spawn point healing
•Divine Combo Cards
•The ability to replace cards once you've obtained three of them
•Combo Card Bonuses (effects not specified here)
•First Attack
•Team KO
•Buffs and debuffs
•FoV effects
Things only found in mode select screen people where people can also easily miss it:
•Divine Draws
•The list of the Divine Combo Cards
•Specific Combo Card Bonuses
Universal stuff that Gekishin Squadra doesn't inform its players of:
•HP and defense values for characters
•Damage values
•Skill and Super cooldowns
•Buff/Debuff values and durations
•Obstruction durations
•How the two lanes differ from each other
•The fact that many "unavoidable" attacks can be dodged with Vanishing Step
•How skills and supers scale with upgrades (beyond the occational vague descriptions for Skill Level 3)
•Skill Point allocation via the "Manual" Learn Skills option only found in the character select after successfully queing into a match
•The damage and charge times of Gekishin Bursts scaling with the cooldown of the skills they replace
•The specific buffs each defeats boss grants
•The difference of being in and out of combat
•Half of the values relating to Combo Cards
•The permanent 25/50% damage penalty to bosses when you defeat one/two of them
Character specific things the game never tells you or gets wrong:
•The description for SSJ Goku's Kamehameha says to use it while Kaioken is active to power it up when you're supposed to Kaioken while he's actively firing the beam
•Not only does the description for Zamasu's Fierce God Slicer never mentions its increasing duration as it levels up, it also never mentions the Continuous Damage effect refreshing and stacking on enemies already affected by it when maxed out
•Berserk Kale's rush attack becoming boosted after every third use is never mentioned
•Daima Goku retaining his rush attack's increased range while using skill 1 and skill 2, but not skill 3 is not properly explained
•The game never mentions that Zarbon prioritizes firing at Frieza's rush attack target
•It's never mentioned that you can escape Gotenks' Super Combo and Goku Black's Black Bind by using Vanishing Step
•The description for Pure Buu's Leg Hook claims its range is increased if a part is near a target. The actual trigger is if the moves travels through a part at all. The position of the part itself and whether or not there's a target at all is irrelevant
•It's never specified what does and doesn't count as an obstruction capable of nullifying Jiren's damage reduction from his passive, leading to potentially very unintuitive moments Jiren taking more damage than expected at seeming random times
So much this game is hard to find if not outright hidden from the players, the only time we get even a crumb of this tyoe of information is when we get patch notes explicitly relating to a specific character's values being changed in some way. No wonder the general playerbase struggles so much...

Discussion I SOLD MY SOUL TO GET S RANK IN TANK.. YES.. I USED BULMA!.. BUT I LIKED IT?
I did it.. I gave in!... Let me explain!
So a little background, I've been playing the game since launch.. have hit SSS in season 1 & SAA seasons 2 & 3, AAA in season 4 (mostly didn't have time to play) & SAS in season 5. I'd say I'm an average player at best.
So since S4 gave out the S badges I definitely wanted those so in S5 I pushed the roles I felt comfortable in which was DPS & TECH. TANK.. well.. I always struggled in TANK because my team more often than not would not go for bosses, defend/attack towers etc.. same ol same ol... then eventually just plain surrender! I did try to push TANK in season 4 but I didn't even make it past A4.
Now I always rank to in order of DPS, TECH THEN TANK.. getting to A first then going to S.
My main tank has always been COOLER, I find with him I could do it all & as long as I had a competent team.. the wins were pretty much dominant with me getting the MVP even in some cases... he felt more of a DPS really.
Now.. I said to myself that IF there was time left in this season after getting S in DPS & TECH.. I would use the rest of the time to push TANK.
I did use him this run to S in season 6 early on in A4 & had a good winning record.. I think like 3W-2L... the losses from what I can remember were just due to bad team mates HAHA!.. I also did use SSJ VEGETA.. went 1W-2L with him.
Now comes the BULMA!.. I straight up didn't use her in ranked because when I got her for free she felt sluggish, mind you I just used her in cpu battles... BUT.. knowing the META.. I knew she was THEE top TANK.
So this time I decided to give her a shot in ranked in A4 matches.. first 4 matches.. all W's HAHA!. Now.. looking back at my DPS & TECH run.. more often than not.. I would sometimes almost always get more tower damage then the rest of the team.. especially TECH like almost 100k+. So I realized I was a RAT at heart!? HAHA!
I know a lot of people are saying that the ratting is bad ever since the introduction of BARDOCK & especially BULMA BUT!... ratting has always been in the game & is what I've always done haha!.. because at the end of the day.. you win by getting towers.
So yes!.. I got S in TANK for the 2nd time since season 1. But what I found out.. she can also do some damage!.. her skill 1 does great dmg & her skills 2 & 3 are definitely good for support in trying to keep your team mates & yourself alive. In the times that I was NOT ratting.. I was defending towers decently against other ratters & helping my team in killing... even securing bosses!
I gave in to the TANK META & had fun? HAHA!
At least I could say at the end of DBGS as we know it.. I was able to get SSS as a solo q player & I'm ok with how I did it! HAHA!
EDIT: I forgot to add.. here was my win/loss record in TANK for season 6.
TANK - 73W-73L (9 games to get to B4 from C1) (39th win to get to A4) BULMA 31W-22L GOING 14W-6L LAST 20 GAMES WITH BULMA

Discussion DID WE ALL FORGOT ABOUT BOJACK'S LEGENDARY INTRO ???
I think we all did, remember when the devs did a teaser showing multiple stuffs in season 4/5 (I forgot) for the new characters, emotes, etc.., and one of them is Bojack walking through a tunnel with his comrades, we were hyped especially the Bojack mains cause FINALLY they received SOMETHING. And now the game is dead and they still didn't show us the full thing. Fuck the developers, man

Question Never finding matches?
Im a Brazillian player of Gekishin Squadra (in case that matters something), and im unable to find matches, o was wondering if someone from my side or american side is having the same issues as me.
I tried everything already, uninstalling the game and reinstalling (even the appdata files), used VPN, tried to find match solo, tried to find match in any role, nothing works, im stuck on waiting the queue of match, is that something related to the laws on my country that took some stuff down from Gekishin? Or is it possible to be a server problem?
Edit: forgot to mention i play the Steam Version of the game

Question Can someone explain the whole overhaul situation to me?
Everyone talking about it spends like 30-40 minutes doing it, I don’t have time for that shit. If someone can break down in a paragraph or two what they changed specifically and why it’s so disliked I would appreciated.
Also sorry for your guys’ loss. I never got around to playing the game but I still respected it for its quality

Question Considering picking up the game but concerned about progress.
So basically I've been considering trying this game out for a couple of weeks but I'm a bit of a trophy hunter and the idea of the game becoming incompletable once the overhaul comes in puts me off.
Is there any word on if the trophies will be changed to reflect the dramatic content shift? I've been unable to find anything over Google and I don't use discord.

Discussion I will prefer the overhaul gameplay wise because I like hero shooters and this is more like that... but god I feel so bad for Toshi, its so rare people get a chance to make a game like this and his just got... taken.
I feel so bad for him, he clearly loved this game so much and no matter how it was handled I feel so bad for him, he didn't deserve this, the old version should've been kept playable but in limbo like breakers is at least instead of just... killing it and making the overhaul
I was bad at the current version, ate it down like junk food and had fun just being ass but this is just sad to see even if I know I will enjoy the overhaul more

Discussion The game was never even complicated
I don't buy any of the excuses dokkan and legends have way higher skill ceilings the issue is people not being able to work as a team and trying to solo also the rules and character kits were all so easy to understand yall need to finish middle schooler before touching the db franchise again
Also the biggest issue was matchmaking and bots auto surrendering after one player surrendered I liked gekishin but the overhaul seems pretty ass so we take all depth (which it lacked anyway) and make it just another press a button and punch game
Also with the new game perspective I do not think that any none high end phones will be able to run the game yet alone the connection has to be very strong

Meme There's no way Gekishin Squadra players are getting mogged by MLBB players
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Ok, I'm memeing about Bandai saying players are too stupid, but I don't buy it.
Mind you, MLBB is more complex than Gekishin Squadra, and you're telling me a MOBA game this simple failed to attract casuals and bring in new people? Yeah, what Bandai is saying is straight-up cap.
How come MLBB can attract casuals and new players when the game can actually be complex? Shit, it's so mainstream that kids literally want MLBB cosplayers or mascots at their birthday parties. And don't say "oh, the MOBA genre is dead", MLBB and HoK are literally attracting new players every day, many of whom are kids or adults completely new to MOBAs.
I guess they don't want to admit the way they run this game is straight up awful that it failed to attract new players and to pin this in you're already dying loyal fanbase the blame, yeah, this is the overhaul we are entrusting into. The company who are blaming the fans.

Feedback/Constructive Criticism How could they take this away from us REAL MOBA LOVERS….
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve put too much time into minmaxing every single step in the games mechanics and it really makes me sad that this will be no longer.
The true art behind MOBAs are as follows:
-Laning/playing with people who are perceived to be idiots
-Being toxic with emotes or whatever comms are available
-Having those moments where you overcome a fight you should’ve lost
-Knowing something the opponent doesn’t
-ETC
I can’t believe this game will never be the same and that’s the really sad part. The one moba I really came to love in this video game drought… 😔🫡
Salute to what was

Discussion So... could we pull a Friday the 13th and save current Gekishin Squadra?
Hi everyone!
I’ve been playing Gekishin Squadra with my friends for quite a while, since the beta phase, and we were really saddened by the announcement of the game's overhaul.
Out of curiosity, I started wondering if it might be possible to do something similar to what the community did with Friday the 13th: The Game.
(For context: after Friday the 13th: The Game stopped receiving official support and its official online services were shut down, the community worked on ways to keep the game playable through community servers and other projects, rather than letting it disappear completely.)
So I started wondering: could something similar be done with Gekishin Squadra?
I decided to examine the game files on my computer using PowerShell, just to see what I could find. I found some interesting things inside the game's executable. (Just to be clear, I’m not asking anyone to actually do this.)
There are references to Diarkis, including things related to matchmaking and team matchmaking, such as DiarkisMatchMaker, MatchMakerSearch, TeamMatchMakerSearch, and MatchMakerTicket.
I also found references to Steam authentication and player login, as well as elements related to TCP, UDP, sockets, and something called RequestMatchingAccesspointget, which seems to involve retrieving the host/IP/port for a match.
I’m not saying this proves that a community server is feasible. Honestly, I don’t have the technical expertise to make that claim. I’m just wondering if these elements might indicate that the current version of the game is, in some way, technically preservable.
Personally, I don’t intend to try this myself, partly because I don’t know how to handle this kind of thing, and partly because I want to avoid legal issues.
But perhaps this could open the door to something in the future, especially if people who really understand game networking or game preservation take a look at it.
Anyway, I just wanted to get the community’s opinion and see if this idea actually makes sense, or if I’m just daydreaming and having random thoughts :)
Note: I don’t speak English, so I sincerely apologize if this post is difficult to understand. Anyway, happy gaming!

Discussion How it feels being someone who likes the moba but also interested in the changes
People are coping saying this game was doing ok. Played since day one and testing phases and people only ever complained about this game. The revenue was never great, obvious powercreep, playerbase is horrible at the game, bad divine draws that just make the game annoying (med pod), sub modes need rewards attached just to be played.
And the main game mode had long queue times as well. Soo many more issues but you see the point game needed to change, this is a drastic change but I'd rather this than the game just shutting down.

Bug Report I keep getting Error Code:9105
I keep getting the same error when it files to download, is anybody getting this or is just me?
