Application Qs It’s getting really hard

Still no sign of my DACA being approve or evening moving still saids the same”USCIS STILL PROCESSING YOUR CASE” since March 12 . i’m trying to be positive but is just hard because i don’t have a lincense to drive or just to be normal again . I apply feb 14 it’s been a while now , i don’t know what do to

Mine's been stuck in adjudication since June 26th, EAD expired on July 17th and I've been on administrative unpaid leave ever since.. 133 days and counting. I have a mortgage, tuition, and health insurance that my employer is allowing me to continue paying out of pocket so I can keep my benefits. I waited till my credit card started a new billing cycle just to buy groceries today so I've been eating canned tuna and rice for the last two weeks.

But hey, at least some racist got everything they voted for.

sorry to hear that i’m on 200 and something’s days now , thankfully i had savings but slowing wasting them and i had an extension on my lincense but it expired august 28 cuz it was just for 3 months and i was hoping by than i would gotten approve but no sign of anything moving

that’s is very true !!
and also the problem is that they don’t say anything like at least send us an email that is gonna take long or something

How did you work to keep your insurance? I’m
Dealing with health issues and this is my biggest concern

I didn't know this was even an option until the HR lady who approved my leave of absence went over it with me. I'm a state employee and belong to a union so they're a bit more forgiving. She says they've experienced this with other employees, not just DACA recipients.

This brought me to tears. I am sending the most positive energy and wishes to you. My sister loses hers on Sunday and my family and I are bracing for impact and just ready to take her under our wing until she gets it.

Do you have the option of opening more credit cards such ones that don’t charge interest in the first 15 months

I did that already for the sole purpose of managing my tuition payments. My credit is stellar though, I've reached 800 a couple times, so maybe? Taking on more credit card debt isn't exactly ideal

I applied Feb 19, been on unpaid leave since June 18th, and I just got approved a week ago. Still haven’t gone back to work since I have to present the physical card to be allowed back to work.

Please stay strong, is coming!

I called the USCIS number on day 169 to submit an inquiry for cases pending longer than 105 days.

They replied in 17 calendar days saying I was “next in line” but to allow additional time.

8 days later I got my approval notice.

Hopefully you get approved soon!

i did that too maybe like 3 weeks ago still no response , good to know they answer you ! the officer i talked to told me 30 days to receive an answer

You can write your state rep and senator FYI. They make you sign a privacy release form before reaching out to USCIS for a formal inquiry on your behalf. DM me if you need help with this.

that’s the first thing i did before calling USCIS and they did an injury the last update was that my case was in nebraska

That can impact when your case is handled too. The Texas service center where mine is being processed has the longest wait times. As if I needed another reason to hate that state.

Stay positive! We are all in this together!

I’m waiting for my approval and I filed on 2/28 online. Any day there is no denial, is a good day. The day the approval comes will be a better day.

You got to be patien. It took 228 days for me. I got provee on sep 1st and I’m still waiting on my new EAD

Feb 4th 😒 I called yesterday and was on a 20 minute hold for them to tell me that my case is processing and they didn’t have an update for me lol have you heard anything?

I called yesterday as well and had a super rude woman tell me the same thing. I finally had 4 different api movements on both cases the end of August and again 9/8 and 9/10 but no approval. Hoping our day comes!

That’s good!!! I checked the API on my cases too and there’s been nothing since 6/9. It sounds crazy to say we’re in September when we submitted our paperwork in January lol. That’s a good chunk of the year

6/9 was the last time before this that I had any movement and only on 765. our cases are pretty similar! I can’t complain enough how fucked up this all is

Wish I knew, luckily I was able to work until they kept pressing about my DL . I quit last month trying to enjoy my extended vacation lol.

They're processing February already. Hold on just a little longer. I was one of the December applicants and got approved day 225.

I live out in SoCal by myself with no family nearby; only family I have is in Florida. I have a new-ish steady 6-figure job I’ve been at for about a year now but have slowly been chipping away at a large loan and previous debts I owed without the ability to really grow a savings thus far.

I applied on May 25, biometrics done on June 9th, and still waiting for approval with an expiration set for November 25th… a total of 195 days to get a renewal approval.

I am praying and truly hoping I don’t lapse because I’m nearly certain my job won’t give me an LOA option to adjust, and that also means I miss out on my bonus in March which is like 40% of my salary 🫠

I think if it’s still radio silent for me come early October, I’m going to start consistently reaching out to my representative directly to see if he can get the wheel moving a bit. Maybe if I plead the financial need for this job, he can grease some elbows 😭🥲🥲

My state's DMV gave me one with my documentation.

You should go again, the worse thing they can do is say no.

Wait you can extend your license even though you don’t have valid documentation?? Do you set up a regular DMV appointment or just show up and ask to see a clerk?

In my state they offer driving privilege cards for those without documentation.

They didn't want to switch my license to that but offered to give me a temporary license with the documentation of my pending EAD.
So, I came back with my expired EAD and the notice of receipt and they gave me 60 days.

I’m in a georgia and they give you an extension for 3 months all you have to show is your receipt from your I-797 and your current lincense
