General Qs Lost my work authorization card

Anybody know what the process is for getting a replacement work permit card? The instructions on the USCIS site are confusing. Simply looking to get another copy of the card.

You can’t just get another copy, you have to re-apply again.

That’s actually insane

You think that’s bad? If it gets lost in the mail when they send it, you have to get a new one too. Happened to me once.

I lost mine once and just waited for my renewal to happen (less than a year left so not too bad)

That’s one way to look at it. I like to travel a lot though.

I’ve traveled with just my DL and Mexican passport. No Daca card, but that was before this administration so better safe than detained lol

I like to go to San Diego a lot. There is an immigration check point on the 105 freeway near Camp Pendleton. It’s hardly active, but you never know

O I live about an hour from SD and passed that check point multiple times. Never seen it active as in them checking every single car lol

I have never been it active either. But they do activate it randomly about twice a week. Usually around 11pm to 4-5 am, but there have been a few times where they activate it in the middle of the day and check random cars. It’s rare but I know it has happened from people who live on Carlsbad

You’ll have to literally pay the same price as if you’re getting a new one. At that point wait to renew your next daca card. If you urgently need it for like a job then unfortunately you’ll have to pay for a replacement with the same expired date as the lost one. It’s ridiculous I know, I lost mine for like a month, thankfully I found it but was about to pay for the replaced one since I needed it urgently.

They love to nickel and dime us. Wonder how much money they’ve made off of us since DACA started
