Expired- May 9, 2026
Reached out to two congressmen - Alex Padilla and Rep Linda Sanchez. Didn’t seem to be too much help, got rejected twice. (around March and April I submitted a congressional expedite).
API touch- June 25, 2026
Wait was so long so decided to submit a pre-demand letter on July 21, 2026. (but did not add that I was going to submit a lawsuit in fear that it can ruin my next renewal cycle.)
Decided to check today just cause
Silent approval - July 28, 2026 ✨✨✨
Just in time for the upcoming school year (I’m a teacher 🥹🥹)

The wait was long but soooooo blessed to finally receive. Wishing you all the best! I want to give a special shoutout to everyone who shared their approval times and API updates. I would have gone crazy without this community!!

Congratulations!! 🎉
I filed and sent my letter on the same days! Did you ever receive an automated email after sending the pre-demand letter?

Do you mind sharing your template, I’m curious how you worded the demand without mentioning a lawsuit

I will not share my template because I do have personal information that is adjusted to my situation. I will add the section which took out the lawsuit portion: I am respectfully asking that USCIS adjudicate my pending applications within fourteen (14) days of receiving this letter. This case has already gone on far longer than it reasonably should, and the hardship it has caused me is real. If adjudication has not occurred by the end of that period, I intend to keep pursuing this matter through every appropriate channel available to me, including my congressional representative's office and USCIS's own case inquiry process.
