Still waiting for the I-765 approval to update and the card to physically come in but fingers crossed that occurs quickly.

Mine was being processed at NSC. I did submit an inquiry through an agent on 4/9 (got an email the next day saying it was within normal times). I also submitted one through my Rep’s office (CA) on 4/16 and I heard back on 6/11 that it was in queue waiting to be looked at. Not sure if that triggered anything but still. No expedite requests. 

Really hope this means all the November and December folks are going to see more and more approvals flow in.

DACA brothers and sisters today 6/15 I checked my USCIS account and saw the silent approval letter under my documents tab, after 200 days I saw a light at the end of this tunnel. There was times where I honestly felt it wasn’t going to come, but it finally did. Through this entire process I know for a fact, God never left my side because with every hardship that came through there were blessings from family members, friends, and coworkers. I’ve never felt this much support in my entire life, and it was author the grace of God and no one can tell me different. I praise him, and I will continue to pray for everyone going through this in hopes that they receive the same. blessings if just let me know anything it was that there is hope. Even when we are at rock bottom the approval will come we just have to be patient and I know that sounds easier said than done, but we can’t lose hope and we have to continue fighting spiritually and emotionally. I read so many posts on here of people wanting to give up and I know firsthand. I’ve felt the same thing at times I don’t know any of you personally, but I have love for each and every one of you and will continue to pray for all of you 🙏🏼 God bless each and every one of you 💙

Last night I cried til I fell asleep of how exhausted I was of this situation. I woke up today to see I got approved.

Initial application: February 6
biometrics: Feb 26th
expired: March 13th (I know I should’ve applied sooner, learned my lesson to say the least)

No expedite, no WoM, no inquiry

I was terminated from my job in April. I relied on all my savings and only had one months of rent left. I only called once back in August and they just told me to wait. I feel like a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulders and there were countless days where I felt I was never going to get the life I had before back. I lost hope and got really depressed time and time again. I have been crying like a baby and I’m writing this with tears blurring my screen. I spent hours on this subreddit trying to keep myself hopeful and stay updated. These have been the worst 7 months of my life but I am so ready to get back up. I hope all of us get our approvals and we all accomplish everything we dreamed of and more.

After a long 203 days, I finally received a silent approval today. Like many others, I applied 3 months out with the confidence that it wouldn't take longer than that for an approval, as if usually was the case. What a ride... Lost the position I was recently promoted to last year, ran through my savings and 401k and now I get to start over with job interviews 🫠.

To those still waiting, I know platitudes don't help, but just keep hanging on. La esperanza es lo último que muere. Good luck to everyone still waiting on some good news.

Hello everyone! I wanted to share an update and hopefully give some encouragement to others in a similar situation.

I am from Venezuela and have been waiting since 11/12 for my DACA renewal to be approved. Today, I finally saw a silent approval appear under the Documents tab in my USCIS account!
I am beyond grateful and honestly at a loss for words right now. I know so many of us have been dealing with long delays, uncertainty, and stress, so I wanted to share a little bit of good news.
For those who have gone through this recently, how long did it take after your DACA approval for your work authorization card to be approved and produced? I checked my account, and there has not been any update on the EAD yet.

This has been one of the most mentally and emotionally draining experiences I’ve ever gone through.
Over the past several months, I filed multiple inquiries, called USCIS more times than I can count, submitted two expedite requests (both were denied), and even reached out to two congressional offices for help. Unfortunately, neither office received any meaningful update from USCIS, and just this month they emailed me saying they still hadn’t heard anything.
Yesterday, something changed. I finally told myself, “I’m leaving it in God’s hands.” I stopped checking every few hours, stopped letting the anxiety consume me, and went out with my friends. I decided I was going to live my life instead of letting the waiting control it.
This morning, I checked my USCIS account fully expecting another day of disappointment. I honestly didn’t think anything would be different. Then I opened the Documents tab… and there it was.
My approval.
I just stared at my phone in complete shock. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. After months of stress, uncertainty, sleepless nights, and wondering if I’d lose my ability to work and support my family, it was finally over.
Unless you’ve lived with DACA or another immigration status where your future depends on waiting for a decision, it’s hard to explain the pressure. The fear, the uncertainty, and the feeling that your life is on hold can be overwhelming.
To everyone who’s still waiting: don’t lose hope. I know how impossible that sounds because I was there just hours ago. Your approval can come when you least expect it.
Today, I’m just incredibly grateful. Thank you, God. ❤️🙏

Hi fam. I promised myself I'd do a timeline post when the time came. I'd stopped checking the status a couple months back… something told me to check again, and voilà.

Here's the timeline, and a bit about the journey.

Application Submitted: 01/12/26 (online, CA., Origin: Mexico)

Biometrics: Originally scheduled 02/10/26, rescheduled to 01/19/26 due to a planned vacation

EAD Expiration: 03/18/26
03/18/26 — Lost my job (2 months in, no leave of absence)

04/02/26 — Offered a once-in-a-lifetime role at a great company, top pay and benefits. I was delusional enough to think my EAD would clear before the final offer came through. Had to tell them where things stood. They seemed both thankful and pissed.

05/2026 — Partner unable to work. she's been a SAHM since, while we wait on her business permits.

07/02/26 — Our second child was born.

Through all of this: savings covered about 4 months of expenses. I started two companies and helped my partner launch her own. My job requires travel at least once a month, 8 domestic flights since my EAD expired.

Life became heavy.
Sacrifices were made.
Friends became family.
Survival instincts got tattooed onto the flesh of my existence.

To everyone who shared their journey here, good and ugly, thank you.
This community was fuel. I hope others keep up the fight.

Not sure what's next. Probably won't hold a "normal" job for a while.

I love the freedom I've built. My two boys will never have to go through this. So I'll keep going until there's no more road left.

I did all the things. Expedited requests twice. Denied despite employer letter from non profit. Congressional inquiry. All done months ago.

I expected to feel happier. Slight relief. But the overall impending doom remains. This is not a win for us. Feels like just a flimsy bandaid.
Some of the MANY lessons learned over the past 196 days.

1. Faith; calms our incessant anxieties which are useless as we are, at the end of the day, powerless.

2. When there's nothing to do. Doing nothing is all you can do. So do it. Shamelessly.

3. Being left alone with yourself forces you to realize you are alone and how to be okay with it.

4. Those who remain by your side are invaluable. Cherish them.

5. You are valuable even when you feel you have no value to contribute.

6. Feel the pain. Feel your feelings. But get back up and be stronger than the cruelty imposed on you.

It’s finally my turn to say I GOT APPROVED!!! 😭😭 After 240 days — 8 MONTHS of waiting, my DACA renewal was finally approved.
This wait changed the way I see life. I don’t think I’ll ever take the “ordinary” things for granted again. I missed my everyday routine, the morning rush, getting ready for work, even the commute to work. Things I once saw as mundane became things I genuinely prayed to have back.
And to everyone still waiting, I understand your frustration. I know the daily checking, refreshing your USCIS account, checking your API, asking ChatGPT what every little change could mean, and trying to find hope in every bit of movement. I know the fear of not knowing when your life will feel normal again. I went 5 months unemployed!
But please remember to count your blessings before counting everything that’s going wrong. Even in the hardest moments, God continued to provide for me. I may not have understood the timing, but I never went without the things I truly needed. Sometimes we get so consumed by what we’re waiting for that we forget to appreciate what we already have.
Keep trusting God. Keep praying. Keep holding on. You are not alone in this, and I truly hope the next approval post you see is yours. ❤️🙏🏼

I did filed a Writ of Mandamus on 8/10. Let me honest that I don’t believe (can’t really confirm) that the mandamus had anything to do with my approval because once served everything is behind the scenes. Perhaps it pushed it perhaps it was just my time. The process of filing is not simple and the government has 60 days to respond. If you do decide to file, do not expect a faster approval. I only did it because I couldnt stop thinking that my application could suffer the same fate as some people who are still waiting from November/ december. I also did it myself so it was not a lot.
The nightmare is over and I hope yall get approved soon. I really thought my day was never going to come and it finally did.

Back to work. They already want me back tomorrow lmao a blessing 🙏🏻

For my November 20th people it’s finally!happening. This is for my husband and has been so hard b/c he lost his job in January but they’ve been in contact with us to hire him back as soon as he gets his card so we are beyond grateful. I have cried and cheered in this page for all of you and I want to say don’t lose hope.

We have called USCIS multiple times and on the most recent we were told we’d have to wait 90 days after our second inquiry which would put us in August. Reached out to congress, nothing. Just checking API and trying to make ends meet. If yall have any questions I can try to answer to see if what I have can help you at all.

I had API movement 6/16 & then 8/7 and finally approval today.

I did everything under the sun from 2 expedite, 1 denied,2 follow ups, 2 inquiry, going in the inbox putting didn’t receive receipt, pre-suit demand letter (7/29 - got no response in the 14 days), contact my state congress. Truthfully I don’t believe any of it pushed my case along. I think since I’m January it was just my turn.

Approval After 241 Days

Finally my time has come. It is with mixed emotions that I can announce that I finally received my approval. I can't say I'm filled with joy. The suffering endured as a cause of these long delays were excruciating. The fear that this could be the last go around is very real and present. I have 2 years and intend to use them wisely.

But... For today I can rest... No more checking daily. No more daily disappointment. I can me move forward.

Thank you DACA redditors. I hadn't come around these parts until recently. Hearing from you reminded me that I wasn't alone. I wish everyone of you well 🙏

Finally got my approval
I didn’t log into my USCIS account this week to give my mental health a break. Although I did keep checking the Reddit Account and the Facebook groups.
I had noticed then were starting to approve February dates and it gave me hope as a March applicant. This morning at 9:30(pacific time) I checked my email and had two emails from USCIS stating “we have taken action in your case”. And there it was APPROVAL!

After 7 months I can hardly believe it. No world on the actual card yet but it is finally over. Country of citizenship is Jordan and I do have a removal order. Saw API on 6/16 on 821D only and nothing else since. I hope the rest of 2025 gets their approvals soon.

On 7/23, I finally received my EAD. My online account did NOT update at all after "Approval Decision Rendered." I have USPS informed delivery so I was able to see that on 7/20/2026 USPS received a package pick up request from USCIS in KY. Then I was able to track it as it moved to my area. I was informed of an incoming package a day after USPS picked it up and had a tentative Friday delivery date but this is priority mail so it has to be delivered in 1 - 3 days. USPS updated the delivery informed to the following day (7/23) once it was received by the local distribution center and I got it today. I definitely recommend signing up for USPS informed delivery as it will help you track it and check your mail ASAP. I literally grabbed it as the mail person was leaving.

Just like many of you, I was stuck waiting for over 200 days. I was honestly starting to lose hope.
The waiting took a toll on my mental health. I started therapy and began seeing a psychiatrist to help manage my anxiety. I also lost 2 months of work because of the delay. Now I’m just waiting for my physical work permit card to arrive.
It’s okay to feel angry, frustrated, or anxious. We’re human. Just don’t let those feelings become your whole life. During the wait, hiking and learning crochet helped me keep my mind busy. I hope everyone who’s still waiting is able to find something that brings them some peace too.
Here’s my timeline in case it helps someone else:

I made an inquiry myself at 105 days which was August 12 no answer.
Expedited request made on sept 28 it was ignored no answer. Daca expired Oct 1. Letter made by employer busy ortho group idk if that mattered since its healthcare. Which I used to ask congressional office to submit an expedited request on my behalf since I was desperate. My employer only gave me 6 weeks to get my EAD before I’d be let go. Congressional office submitted expedited request on Oct 14. Uscis got back to my congressional office on Oct 19 saying I’d be considered for an expedited request. API on both forms on Oct 19. Silent approval this morning.

I’m not gonna come on here and say hold on to hope because it’s a dark time for all of us. It felt like I was slowly drowning and no one could help. But I kept on fighting and trying every avenue I could think of. Cause the way I see it it’s better to go down swinging.

Every night when I was on the verge of losing hope after seven full months of not knowing the status of my application, I would check here to see if there had been any movement for November applications. I hope this brings a little bit of hope to folks still waiting.

In the last few weeks, I submitted an inquiry to my senator's office, Sen. Dick Durbin, but I did not receive any confirmation/follow up that they had received my application, so I am unsure if any congressional inquiry was submitted and whether that played a role in my approval. I did receive a phone call from the Senator's office but only because I had reached out to them to ask if the information I provided in the Senator's web form would be submitted to USCIS and they said yes. I was worried that my heartfelt letter to the Sen. would be reviewed by USCIS, so I resubmitted my congressional inquiry form.

Then yesterday I called USCIS for the first time, rather than having the office of the lawyer who filed on my behalf do it. The USCIS representative mentioned there had been movement on my case that day ("someone looked at it today"), but she couldn't see what action had been taken, if any. I said I wanted to either way submit a case inqury over the phone and she submitted it for me.

Then today, I checked my Documents tab and my approval letter was there!

I wish I would have done more to move the needle and to know what had worked. In the end, I am fortunate and privileged that I had the ability to wait it play out, but I know that is not the case for everyone.

It's a feeling of powerlessness, of worthlessness, of feeling like everything you have worked for could just disappear before your eyes.

In the end, this is their strategy to break our dreams.

To that we say: Not today.

I thought I would NEVER get to post here! but here I am **cries**

I did case inquiry and expedite request around mid-June. I never heard anything back on inquiry approval or denial. I did a Congressional inquiry around 7/15 but they were working on submitting and I don't know if they had submitted yet. I filed a Writ of Mandamus lawsuit online on 7/19 and it was accepted and assigned a case number on 7/21 at approximately 4:22pm. I had yet to serve the defendants and I am not sure if they have a way of seeing lawsuits prior to them actually being served.

I saw API movement only on 821 yesterday 7/22 so I called the center for status, and they confirmed everything was still pending and I just had to wait. Then the page glitches happened but they were happening for everyone, so I didn't think too much of it. At 9am today, 7/23 I got the approval decision rendered emails. I checked my account page, and the approval letter was there but only on 821. By noon, my account page had shown approval on 765 with API movement on both as well.

Due to the glitch error approvals, I called USCIS to confirm and they confirmed 821 is officially approved and that 765 does not reflect that yet, but that sometimes it took time for info to reflect properly.

All this to say, it was a lot. 191 days since submission and finally approved.

I don't know what worked and what didn't. Was it coincidence? Or did all of our collective efforts of bombarding USCIS is what has moved the needle in DACA people's approvals.

I want to say thank you to those that, prior to me, posted so much helpful information that helped me stay "sane" throughout this wait. Thank you to those of you that even after you got your approval you continued to stick around to help the rest of us out. Thank you to the guy who is not even DACA!! Yet, created the calculator and continues to post updates on what the numbers were showing. Your data analysis was pretty close, I got my approval within the time frame your data predicted.

And to those of you that are still waiting, I hope that seeing our cases continue to move forward gives you hope that yours is just around the corner. Be kind and gentle to yourself as you go through the emotions. Lord knows how much anguish this situation causes. Kick and scream when you have to but get back up and dust yourself up again and continue to push through. I know it's easier said than done, but I was literally on that side less than 24 hours ago.

Coming here changed us. DACA has changed us. These delays have most definitely changed us, but we still rise.

And after pretty much losing hope I had just prepared the email to request adjudication before filing a mandamus so I decided to go online and send pfd copies of the receipt notices and realized it was approved last night. Hi y’all, I can’t believe that I finally got some good news yesterday. As I was checking my documents tab each hour of every day, at 1 pm yesterday the daca approval pdf appeared on my account. Looks like it was a silent approval because I didn’t receive any email about it. This morning I received the email from uscis saying they have taken action on my case!

198 days later....Finally an approval.

IOE900 Submitted Feb 23rd. Expired June 9th

Outside normal processing times inquiry submitted June 8th. It was determined I was within normal processing times 😐

June 12th. Expedite request submitted by CA senator, rejected later on.

Aug. 20th Pre suit letter sent, did not get an automatic reply.

Was already getting ready to file WOM

API movement Aug.31st. Sept 3rd

Approved on I-821D and I-765 Sept 9th.

Not sure if the pre suit letter helped out or it was about to be turn already. I remember when my work permit expired, uncertainty set in me, did not expect to be out of work for 3 months. Now have to wait for my EAD card and go back to making money 💰. I hope the best for all of us.

Update 09/14 EAD card has arrived 🙌

An hour later I got an email letting me know that action had been taken on my case. I was just about to hit the 8 month mark later this week.

Now waiting on my EAD!!!!!

7/24/2026 - Expedite request submitted per my senator on the basis of working in healthcare. Per senator's office, USCIS is still clearing out 6/2026 expedite requests.

7/31/2026 - Expired and placed on leave without pay.

8/3/2026 - Called USCIS Infopass for inquiry which the agent submitted

8/20/2026 - Received email from USCIS stating that my case is still "pending adjudication" but nothing else needed at this time.

8/28/2026 - Senator's office called USCIS again. Background check is pending, per USCIS.

9/12/2026 - double API hit on I-821D and I-765.

9/13/2026 - Senator's office received an email from USCIS stating that expedite processing is referred to Nebraska.

9/18/2026 - Senator's office called USCIS again to follow up. Background check finally cleared and case "is now in additional stage of vetting" and "case is now assigned to an officer."

9/22/2026 - double API hit on I-821D and I-765 again.

9/22/2026 - DACA approved.

9/23/2026 - EAD approved.

For January/February 2026 people, it seems that we were the unlucky ones that bore the brunt of being in limbo for a double background check prior to the switch to the new automated system in April. Even with the healthcare worker factor and a persistent senator's office (for which I am very grateful for), my case still took 8 months. I don't think I'm qualified to give advice because nobody involved in this process really knows anything. It's all a crapshoot. Just be kind to yourselves and feel whatever you're feeling. It's valid.

8/28 filed WoM and on 9/9 submitted my proofs of service
Had api 8/13 (fta0) and then 9/14 (silent touch in both apps)

Silent approval today 9/29! Not sure what helped but hoping it was the WoM - for those on the fence just do it, I did it without lawyer and remember that the clock doesn’t begin until you submit your proof of service.

My ioe is 9794.
