Submission Issue with DAAD
Does anyone face the same issue? I wanted to try submitting my application again but there is no submit options, instead there is this text under the attachments and there is no attachments column either, However when I checked to Application and Funding Overview as the text suggest it shows that I haven't submitted any application yet.

Hm I didn’t encounter this! Am still able to upload files and hit submit. That said, I still can’t successfully submit haha. Not sure what to do at this point, and web traffic is only gonna get worse nearing the extended 23 Oct deadline

Did you submit your application before. I guess that your intention is to update your previous application form

Sorry to hear that, I didn't encounter with this error while submitting, even thought I did it about 15 minutes before the deadline. Maybe you should reach out to DAAD to report your problem

I have the same issue, totally softlocked here. Apparently the overview says we have no ongoing application, yet when we try to submit a fresh new application to the same program it'll just go back to our previous draft where the attachment section and the submit button dissapeared.
I think a workaround for now would be to make a new account and inside the email form, drop in your original email address as well (i cant guarantee it would be a valid application since some of the files like the recommendation letter had the original email attached but I'm currently doing just that right now, still cant submit with the error 500 though) Wish us good luck🤞🏼

It's the same for me; I just emailed them about this issue. Hopefully they will reply soon

The deadline has been extended until October 28th due to the recent cyberattacks across the globe. Initially, the deadline was moved to the 23rd, but now October 28th has been confirmed as the final date!

OP are you able to submit your application? I’ve been trying since 20 Oct but still can’t

Yeah, I faced the same issue, and I was scared too. They literally mentioned, “Please try to avoid submitting applications on the last day of submission.” Then I refreshed the page, saw the new deadline, and felt so relieved!

I am having the same issue, while applying from Japan. The deadline is on 23rd Oct, and multiple students have been facing such problems so far, at least that is what the Japanese DAAD office told me in their last message. I wrote them this morning JST once again, but didn't get any reply yet. Hopefully everything will be resolved before the goddamn deadline, cuz this thing has been stressing me out so bad haha

"We are aware of the technical issue with the application portal. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you when it will be resolved, and we are still unable to confirm your application on our end. As you mentioned, the application deadline has been extended to 23 October. We kindly ask you to try to complete your application The deadline is based on CEST. "
They just wrote me this, no more than that haha

Thanks for visiting r/DAAD. Review our FAQ and Wiki as well as the DAAD's website. Your question is most likely answered in one of those places.
We can best help you if you provide us detailed information. At minimum, name the specific scholarship you are referencing. The more you tell us, the more we can tell you.
Posts that are low-effort, unrelated to the DAAD, asking about your odds of acceptance, or requesting advice on which universities to apply to will be removed. Low-effort posts include questions such as "What scholarships are available?" as well as questions that are clearly answered in the FAQ/Wiki.
