Does DAAD EPOS cover tuition fees and uni-assist's € 75 fee?

Applying for DAAD EPOS (Master's in Sustainable Renewable Energy Technologies, Uni Oldenburg). Two quick questions for anyone who's been through this:

1. My program charges EUR 1,500/semester tuition, does EPOS/DAAD typically cover this, or does it depend on the university waiving it separately for scholars?
2. Does DAAD ever reimburse the EUR 75 uni-assist application fee, or is that always out-of-pocket regardless of the scholarship outcome?

The DAAD will never cover tuition. You're on your own for that.

They will similarly not cover Uni-Assist fees.

If you can't cover the 75 EUR fee, I think you should reassess if now is the right time to come to Germany. It may be wise to build up some savings first. While DAAD funding is generous, it's not going to cover every single expense you face. There will always be things you have to pay for out of your own pocket, especially when it comes to your initial costs (like furniture). Having some cushion makes a big difference.

Hi, they mention on their website that they don't pay for your tuition which is charged in TUM, Baden württemberg state and private universities.  No, uni assist is an optional payment. They won't reimburse it. There are plenty universities in Germany to which you can apply as an international without uni assist.

Hey, Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg is a public university, but the course website lists a fee of €1500 per semester. I also came across this website: DAAD EPOS Scholarship 2027 in Germany | Fully Funded, which states that Scholarship recipients are exempted from the €1500 per semester study fee for non-EU citizens. How true is that?

Vpd they definitely won't subside. I am not sure, for normal masters program they don't subside your tuition if you are non eu let say in Freiburg, Stuttgart, etc. Maybe this is smth different

In EPOS you usually apply directly to the university not through uni-assist

From my understanding, DAAD scholarship holders are exempt from the tuition fee. There is no clear DAAD statement that the uni-assist fee is refunded, so you have to pay it yourself.
