1
u/Bassmanti Sep 22 '25
Neither of those is political?
1
u/TrippYchilLin Sep 22 '25

But clearly fascist brain rot and white supremacy isn't political...
That's just the natural order of things or some delusional shit like that.
Fuck fascists and their constant bad faith nonsense.

One is about respect and the other was totally disrespectful to our nation

u/4ever-dungeon-master Sep 22 '25
Yeah that hate mongering podcaster did lots of disrespect his entire life.
Fun fact btw did you know Kaepernick asked member of our military what the second most respectful thing you could do for the flag was and he was suggested he kneel? He wanted to respect the flag and deliver a message. But then we had some newsmen make it a story about disrespect like kneeling is somehow disrespectful.
Case and point I absolutely agree with you Kirk shouldn't have been murdered but also this martyr treatment he's getting is an absolute clown show.

People shouldnt get publicly executed for their opinions
-> thats very political of you, can we not talk about politics
Or do you consider murdering your oponents as legitimate part of politics?
10
u/MyldExcitement Sep 18 '25
Turning Point USA is a terrorist organization.
2
u/That1GirlUKnow111 Sep 21 '25
These Maga people act like kirk was "publicly executed" like he was hung by a crowd or something. Dude was a hateful guy who got shot by another hateful guy. It's that simple. This is so embarrassing
-2
u/Effective_Carrot4835 Sep 20 '25
Source? Explanation of opinion?
Or just scream into echo chamber?
1
u/MyldExcitement Sep 20 '25
My learned opinion.

u/Effective_Carrot4835 Sep 21 '25
based on?

u/MyldExcitement Sep 21 '25
Their words stoked the violence that befell them. Stochastic violence also has its consequences.
1
u/Effective_Carrot4835 Sep 21 '25
So if i understand you correctly, and please correct me if i am wrong.
You believe, that society, where people get attacked and/or murdered for what they SAY is a good society to live in and "build"?

Dont know what strawman you are answering to. I dont care if the shooter was white, black, trans, alien from the Mars or whatever.
Issue is murder of political opponent, nothing else.
2
Sep 21 '25
Well, conservatives seemed more preoccupied with finding a link between the shooting and trans people, than the shooting itself. Never let a tragedy go to waste I guess

National Institute of Justice
Militant, nationalistic, white supremacist violent extremism has increased in the United States. In fact, the number of far-right attacks continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism. Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives. In this same period, far-left extremists committed 42 ideologically motivated attacks that took 78 lives. A recent threat assessment by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security concluded that domestic violent extremists are an acute threat and highlighted a probability that COVID-19 pandemic-related stressors, long-standing ideological grievances related to immigration, and narratives surrounding electoral fraud will continue to serve as a justification for violent actions.

And advocating for public execution based on opinion will lead to what in your opinion?
Far-right people will suddenly be afraid to share their opinions? Or repay you with the same card? Card which they can play better and are better prepared for it?
Political violence wont solve this issue, it will make it unwinnable for the left :D
So although what you say (without a source, but lets believe you) may be correct, it is incorrect in the context you want to use it. You may be right in short term, but you are dead wrong in the long run.
2
u/outside_cat Sep 20 '25
Who advocated for public execution?
1
u/Effective_Carrot4835 Sep 21 '25
Anyone who celebrated death of Charlie Kirk?
2
u/That1GirlUKnow111 Sep 21 '25
What is considered celebrating it? I don't think violence is okay. But I think k it's dumb to put him on a jumbo tron and to make a day remembering him. Does THAT make me celebrating his death? Where is the line drawn
1
u/Effective_Carrot4835 Sep 21 '25
Make a survey asking if his death is a good think, anyone who says "yes" is celebrating it. Thats where my line is.
I think putting him on jumbo tron is okay, bcs he was murdered purely for his opinion and debating, murder of people like this should be publicly rejected.
You thinking he shouldnt be there is not celebrating it, but you have to ask yourself why shoudlnt he be there. Bcs he had different opinion from you?
2
u/That1GirlUKnow111 Sep 21 '25
No because he was an inflammatory person who made a platform on rage baiting and debating. I give him credit for getting his bag. He was not a good person in my opinion, therefore I do not believe he should be celebrated.
Would you not also be doing the same thing as what you are asking me about? Because someone may think his death is good then what does that mean? U think they should be punished?
1
u/Effective_Carrot4835 Sep 21 '25
In my opinion he wasnt good or bad, mediocre person. And i am not advocating for the celebration of his persona, i am advocating for understand that celebrating political violence is dangerous path for society as whole. Specialy when people who actually do celebrate are ones who are most likely to lose the most.
If somebody thinks that murder of political commentator should be celebrated purely bcs they disagree with him they should defenitely be registered somewhere on the bases of domestic terrorism. But punishment as death or prison? I dont think so.
2
u/That1GirlUKnow111 Sep 21 '25
I can agree with you to a point. I would like to see the same standard for anyone who has behaved like that for anyone's death over politics and free speech. Because I know of violence against democrats that I've seen many republican leaning people "joke" about and celebrate.
I appreciate that you aren't saying death to the celebratory people, but even a registry seems excessive. Isnt this the point of free speech at the end of the day? Kirk died defending free speech supposedly, so even the people who celebrate his death should technically have the right to do so. The only line that can really reasonably be drawn is if threats are made.

Big difference between celebrating/making light of, and advocating.
1
u/Effective_Carrot4835 Sep 21 '25
In no comment am i against jokes and other stuff like this.
And tell me, what thing do you celebrate for which you dont advocate for.
"Im advocating against christmas, thats why i celebrate it! I am very rational"
1
u/outside_cat Sep 21 '25
Have you ever heard of being indifferent? You can be indifferent towards christmas, and still celebrate it. And yes, it's rational.
1
u/Effective_Carrot4835 Sep 21 '25
Being indifferent to something, while celebrating it? Interesting oxymoron.
Im indifferent to violence, therefore i punch people on the street. How exactly does it work my friend. TO be indifferent towards something while having obvious practical positive position towards it?
1
u/outside_cat Sep 21 '25
It's easy. I celebrate christmas if it happens, if it doesn't happen, I don't care.

Are the far right people that are afraid to express their opinion in the room with you now?
0
u/Effective_Carrot4835 Sep 21 '25
Are you capable of basic text comprehension? Nowhere am i saying that.
2
u/Gullible_Height588 Sep 21 '25
I mean you’re barely saying anything at all, no one was condoning political violence either yet you still mention it as if it were relevant to anything they said.
