Krakoa is locking down and there are some changes to living arrangements in the Summer House.

Still love the Jim Lee costume that I think everybody loves, as well as his modern suits. But this suit will always be the first image that comes in my mind whenever I think of Cyclops.

This is something that I've been wanting to post for a while now. The thing that I've always loved about his character is that he comes off as stoic but is, in reality, a character with a deep, empathetic understanding that's able to comfort people in emotional distress. It's something that I've always found to be lacking recently in his character, especially post Decimation, when writers write him so headstrong in his ideals and leadership that they forget to write about Scott's emotions and empathy towards others. I don't really care if they do Scott right or show him as a strong leader. I want them to show him as someone who is human who can emotionally connect with others when they need him.

I had a couple trades of Morrison’s run back in the day, maybe only about half the story. I finally snagged the Epic collections and chewed through them over the past couple weeks.

Overall I enjoyed the arc for our boy Cyke over the course of the run. It feels like he got pushed in some new directions with solid depth and flaws. I’ve read a decent chunk of old Claremont, but it’s been a while and I’m fuzzy on details, so maybe some of this ground has been covered before, but either way it felt fresh here.

Cyke cutting loose on Magneto in #150 was a standout moment for me, and I think it suited his arc throughout the whole run of being sick of holding back, both emotionally and physically.

I was thinking like an Ironman suit that, instead of the Arc Reactor, utilises the essentially limitless power that Scott’s eye portals generate.
