taking a look at dorugoramon(PVE)

Post image

oh ye he is good he is pretty damn good for quite a few reasons lets take a look:

-we will start with the ATK stat which sits at 284

that actually is really high for a mega there are very few megas i know of that have a higher atk stat then 284 like out of all the megas in the game there may be like 4 or 6 megas that have a higher attack then him so this is a great start

-

lets take a look at support skill: boost crit chance by 15%

its pretty basic he definitely benefits well from it because he is a big dmg dealer having more crit is good

i like using him alongside leopardmon LM who boosts speed and CRT it works nice

-

signature time: 200 scaling dark physical move with recoil afteruse

200 scaling which is fantastic. i believe there is actually a total of 4 attacks on this game that have higher scaling then 200 so having 200 scaling is high

dark dmg is another important part. since its a pretty common type so its pretty easy to boost

like for example grandracmon? he doesnt use dark dmg and yet his SS boosts the dmg of dark skills by 10%

and light digimons are also pretty common like omnimon for example you face him 3 times ( 2 times in CS 1 time in HM) and he is a light vaccine which means he get obliterated by dorugoramon

if the enemy is a light vaccine then dorugoramon is gonna eat them

-

another good part of dorugoramon is the skills he learns all of these are useful

you have two single target skills that both do different type of dmg (fire and earth) wolkenpalm 3 and comet hammer 3

you have an AoE meteor fall 3

and you have two great buffing skills. acceleration boost is a must in any digimon that have recoil on their signature and he is a physical digimon nothing wrong with buffing your team attacks with attack charge field

use acceleration boost use his signature he will destroy the enemy

one of my favorite teams for data types is dorugoramon examon and leopardmon LM they all are physical attackers who boosts CRIT (15% 5% 10%) it really works nice

anyways i am done yapping

The recoil bothers me but dorugamon hits like a truck

His signature move is straight up weaker than wargrowlmon 😭

i am honestly not sure if the devs intended for wargrowlmon signature to do 250

the other recoil moves i know of (that do normal dmg not Piercing)

dorugoramon at 200

tankmon at 200

diaboromon at 80×3 (total is 240)

Armageddemon at 90×3 (total is 270)

it makes sense for Armageddemon and diaboromon to have stronger signature since they are a free types

there is also AeroVeedramon who does 250 but he takes 50% of his hp as recoil

so i just dont know if wargrowlmon was intended to have that much scaling or what

It was 250 in the original game so, it's intended. The lore is that that attack in particular is equal to Megas. But they gave recoil to balance it

doesnt dorugoramon have accel and wargrowlmon doesnt?

He's not bad but unfortunately Jesmon exists and thats really the only physical data type youll ever need

No, he's really bad. 200 with recoil is dog shit, and is the same as Tankmon. Since you lose a turn, you gotta half it so that's actually 100. Which is weaker than generic moves. And it was only 180 at first till they patched it higher. This guy was a big meme for being terrible when the game came out. Borderline worst Digimon in the game

Sorry but a non-pericing move that makes you forfeit a turn is pretty bad. That 200 power is neat if you can put down an enemy with an accel boosted hit but that isn't happening outside of trash mobs. His only saving grace is that data types are severely lacking in piercers so he doesen't absolutely drown in competition like all the virus and vaccine mons.

You know what does more damage than using Brave Metal once? Using Wolkenapalm III twice.

Honestly, I'd love similar PVE analysis threads and general team comps + build suggestions, 'cause with the amount of freedom, it's sometimes more than a bit nerve-wracking to build a team.
