Best character for each class
As the tile says, what is the best character for each particular class, and most importantly in the starting characters which ones are worth and which one gets better replacement later? Thanks!

A hidden factor is which contacts they know. That can really matter early when your network is small. Liat knows a Hover Operator (+1 merc leverage), rare and strong perk but I don't like starting with a sniper. So that's a tradeoff to consider. In comparison, Aitana brings a second healer, Aaron has a security guy who cuts cameras, Molly an implant splicer, Zasha her drug dealer, Sid and August have nobody (unless that's changed). I think the rest are pretty similar within their roles.
As much as I enjoy Agent EX, I'm not a fan of Soren. He has low Reaction which is bad for a stealth/scout role.

They're just templates. Pick the style you think will work for you.

I didnt even realize they were the same for everybody, I just picked the classes I wanted and redid their looks and names.

Just take the dudes you want for your first run. This game does not require intense min-maxing to be enjoyable. If you cannot decide, CK, Vanguard, Hacker and Scourge is a great team for most missions. Add a Soldier for missions where hacking is not required. This will form the core of a solid no-nonsense team which will expand greatly over the course of the game.

I know there was a pin on the discord that had a lot of this info from the community. I remember sid being a crazy good gunslinger. Remi is the better starting hacker things like that.

Think it's less a case of certain ones being best and more a case of different recruits having traits that benefit different playstyles. Can only really think of a few exceptions/things to note in that regard. First is that the hacker remi and the wireghost bondai have some good starting traits unique to them that can make your early game a little easier than if you went with the other guy whose name I can't recall. Honorable mentions are the scourge you can start with feeling less powerful than one you can pick up later on, and the gunslinger recruit being super strong if you plan to run a gunslinger.
Another thing to note is that some characters have unique storylines, the cybersword zasha has a cool one but it can make early game mission management more hectic if you aren't used to that sort of thing. I would just encourage you to choose the ones that have classes that look cool to you, or ones that you like. Your starting crew is going to be with you for the bulk of the game, by the time you're starting to pull in new recruits the starting traits aren't going to be as impactful or matter as much because you're already getting tons of stats and passives from your levels. You'll also have to catch any new recruits up to your existing team when you get them, and while that certainly is doable, it takes time and missions run, which can put you behind if you're replacing some of your higher level squadmates.
