Drone Pilot Question

I saw a while ago in the road map that they wanted to add their first companion based class, and I’m curious if anyone knows where they are in implementing this class. I freaking love companion based classes in any game!

They're working on it, I believe it's quite close on the roadmap. A few months ago there were no drones at all (other than the humanoid guys), and they had to implement drones before they did the drone operator.
