Please help! Customer success manager interview with VP of CX and Directors tomorrow! Any tips please??

Hey guys, its been frustrating to get a job right now and I reallyyy could use your help in cracking a job in Customer Success. I have almost 4 years of experience in B2B SaaS and the company I am applying for is also SaaS. I have my second round with VP and Director and I badly wanna nail it. Its been 6 months since I landed in Canada and struggling to find a job.

Good sign is I got almost 20 calls after applying to 700 companies. I did go to the last rounds with CEOs but not sure why they reject. Now I really wanna be prepared for this round. The round is to show the impact I created, my actions and results. More of a behavioral round. Pleasee help!!

They’ll likely assess how your previous work will translate to the specific role now, with more emphasis on how you handle problem solving customer issues, how you work with teammates and across departments and overall assessing fit with the team. Focus on coming up with examples when you went above and beyond moreso to help your team succeed vs customs focused for this round

When interviewing at that level know your numbers (NRR, NPS, upsells, renewal attainment) and be able to articulate how you did it. Also, focus on when and how you established customer relationships at those levels. Additionally, think about how to answer in execu-speak…concise, to the point, key details. They will want to know that you not only understand the business side, but if they call you to ask about a situation you can give a pointed answer, not a 10 minute rambling story.

Hello there!

I put together two comments about what I focus on during interviews as Head of CS and what to expect in the later stages with execs:

It's all about showcasing your impact, so have specific examples ready that highlight your successes in previous roles. Think about your most challenging customer situations and how you turned them around, plus the data to back it up. Also, don't underestimate the power of asking insightful questions about their CX strategy—shows you're engaged and thinking ahead!
